I interact directly with clients, translating technical jargon to simple and plain English.
I am also responsible for the server administration and maintenance.
Lead Web Developer, 2012 - 2013
I collaborate with the team to create high-end websites and web applications. I work with 3 other departments to deliver the highest quality work possible. Average is simply not acceptable - it must be "Stellar"! I consult with clients to get a full understanding of their desires. I review and refine others' code as well as teach them how to code more efficiently. I am also responsible for the server administration and maintenance.
Independent Web Developer
Just for Fun, 2000 - 2013
I created my very first website back in 1998 and have not been able to stop developing. Even when working a full time job, I would clock out and start developing "after hours" and as a hobby. I quickly became good enough to get paid to do what I love doing. Even now, when I'm between clients and have no freelance work, I continue to create my own web applications and spend countless hours learning more about web developments latest and greatest technologies. I typically spend 12 to 16 hours a day, 7 days a week doing web development!!
Freelance Web Developer, 2009 - 2012
Staring off as a just another freelance web developer, I quickly scaled the ranks to become "the go to guy" for everything web related. I ended up leading all of the web development meetings and teaching clients as well as LRT Staff how to use a CMS.
My biggest accomplishment with LRT was getting them to stop using Flash based websites and set them up with Joomla and WordPress! In doing so, I was able cut development time and costs, as well as give LRT another sales tool - clients can now manage their own website!!
Web Developer, 2008 - 2010
I started working at Computer Medics as a Computer Tech - diagnosing and repairing computers. The owner quickly learned of my web development experience and decided to capitalize on it. I helped them establish a freelance based web development service. I wrote custom CMSs as well as used Joomla and WordPress. I wrote tutorials and trained clients how to administer their own website. I was the only server admin, as such, responsible for every aspect of web hosting.
