My friend, local piano virtuoso Gary Schmidt, will hold his annual concert/recital at the Rialto Theater a week from Friday. He puts on a great show:
Well, it's that time of year again. I have a solo concert coming up at the beautiful Rialto Theater in Loveland. (Friday evening, January 9th @ 7:30 p.m.) Always such a great venue. Would of course love to see you there. This year I will be playing the complete Rhapsody in Blue of Gershwin, which is probably one of most iconic pieces of American music, written in the 1920s to prove that jazz could be taken as seriously musically as classical. Instant classic and probably one the most popular pieces of music ever written and you have all heard least of few bars of it if you have ever flown United! Of course I will also throw in some Rachmaninoff and Chopin for good measure. The best seats are already selling fast!
Here are the particulars. There is a ticketing seating plan online which makes it easy to choose a seat and purchase.http://www.rialtotheatercenter.org/rhapsody-in-blue-an-evening-with-the-classics/
