For goodness's's sake, let me know if I'm just talking to myself here.
Matter of taste ? I use a lot of spices on a lot of vegetables, basically. I used to eat fish, but fish is easy to give up, it doesn't have that taste we consider so 'yummy' for whatever reason, like 'fillet cut from the juicy neck' and similarly disturbing items. There's much money being made from people who cannot give up that taste, by simulating a 'meaty' flavour - there's even a veggie burger that 'bleeds'. That sucks... I found that roast potatoes etc. do the job rather well. The rest is mid power. Try garlic ;)
"Is it strange that I fantasize about moving off the cultural grid? Not the actual grid, just the draining, desperate, frustrated clutter of the end of civilization. You know, CONTENT! Media cancer. Clickbait. The grand fragmented distraction that people base their tragic, shallow perception on. I can't take it. That and fucking traffic. Yeah, I just would like to be on an island somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. Sitting. Thinking, Walking around. Breathing. Figuring out what is important and what joy is. Is that a crazy dream? Maybe I can try it for a week. See how it goes. Maybe I’ll just keep it as a fantasy."
Yeah, he's been reading my mail.
(Edit: I must be slow. The irony of posting it here only just occurred to me.)
