The Dev Guide rides again. I finally sorted some longstanding chaos in my life. Last night was my first visible work I was able to tackle. Then also I don't have to go it alone, my first talk with Steven van der Baan says we are going to get along great. There should be very few instances that we disagree and feel strongly enough to argue about something.

I have always been jealous of the smooth experience of RDP on Windows machines, they just plain got it right. I have not been able to replicate that feeling with VNC or SSH -x or or or... on my linux machines in any of the times I have tried to run a GUI over the network.

Maybe the umpteenth time is the charm with X2Go...

If I am lucky, I have created a pressure vessel for "fizzy fruits" and not a plastic shrapnel bomb that damages the things in my garage.

Didn't have time to test... trying to teach kids about science experiment safety fail. Small fail because you see a relief valve, a gauge, and a place to bleed off pressure quickly. But, wish I had taken the time to test with compressed air just the same.

+Robin Schell You're doing the innerwebs wrong-- after an indiscriminant invite to a googly hangaround you post the link. It is just like illegal b & e house parties... if you don't know where you are going, how are you going to put the garden gnomes in immature, compromising positions?

Thanks for the quick & detailed response. It was my mPCIe adapter preventing usage of the QCA9880 XB140 reference design based 802.11ac 3x3 MIMO cards.

I am so close to having more time on my hands which is great. I think project one will be to involve my kids in the next home file server build-- with a lego computer case. I wanted a hot swap drive array, but the reasonably priced ones are bad for heat & noise and well, the CAB only wants to let go of so many little pieces of paper with dead presidents on them. Certainly fewer pieces with the venerable Benjamin Frankiln depicted...

Do you use Javascript? Meddled with jQuery? AngularJS is the next progression you should give a whirl-- It handles a lot of common things it generally takes me more code to do. The structure, dependency injection, and AJAX promises haven't been easy to wrap my head around, but it has been worth it.
Are you looking for resources to get the best use out of AngularJS? We’ve put together a comprehensive list of tutorials, podcasts and guides, perfect for those who either get started or try to improve their skills.

Mutate for *buntu -- It's based on Alfred for the Mac (One of the two things I like better obviously Alfred is awesome, but the screen is better too. It is.)

Ctrl + D FTW!
Mutate - A simple launcher inspired by Alfred for ubuntu.

I remember everything going smoothly and happening in a reasonable time frame. I am here because I am going to call them for another countertop and see that others have had an experience not like mine. Many years ago we renovated our kitchen. Due to a interesting shape corner cabinet with a lazy Susan I purchased-- off the shelf countertop solutions were not available to me. We went to home depot-- who uses Custom Crafted Counters Inc. as a sub contractor. Their guy came out and measured shortly after the consultation at home depot. They obviously took a span of time to build our somewhat long one piece 'L' shaped formica clad mdf countertop. Then eventually they delivered it on top of my lower kitchen cabinets. I did not pay for installation, but they still gave me pointers on how to get a good install myself. I was googling for their phone number and decided to share my experience with them.
