Great food and atmosphere! The front of the restaurant is a lovely bakery with great pastry items and coffee with a great sitting area and bar. I recommend the macaroons! The restaurant itself, located in the same space, is wonderful. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Great place for special occasions, just make sure to make a reservation!

For the prices they have you should expect fantastic food but it's just ok, sadly. The lemon ricotta pancake should be astonishing because of the ingredients but the taste is just insipid, the french toast has the same result even when the ingredients are gourmet so I don't get it. Finally, I had a beignet and they taste like a doughnut! If you've had beignets at Café du monde in New Orleans please don't ask for beignets here or you'll be utterly disappointed. The place is beautiful though, it's spacious and the architecture details are awesome. Expect to see beautiful people, maybe a celebrity or two.

The bakery selection is a work of art! Tried the macaroons and a princess cake and they were excellent. I also had breakfast (the Eggs Benedict) and it was delicious as well. Great cappuccino too. Nice that it's open late and that the front area is grab and go.

We arrived last Sunday (12/13) a little after 8:00 am and was told by a rude little boy (as his boyfriend made out with the back of his neck) that the restaurant opens at 9:00 am, but we "could have anything in the large showcase," he giggled as it was 99% empty. I asked if there was another breakfast place nearby, "NO, I DON'T KNOW!" he hissed, all the while the lover kept pawing him. The place looks great but with employees like that, well, good luck. I'm sure management would love to know how they're represented. Thankfully another employee directed us (as these two twits glared at her) to Pitchoun's, across from Pershing Square 2 blocks away. THAT offers truly great french in a welcoming and professional manner.

The store was lovely and extremely overpriced. Even worse than their charges was the very deceptive charge at the cash register. With telling me or any notice being posted the charged me 12% tax on my bill. When I questioned the overcharge they told me it was a luxury tax. After having to call over the manager to complain about the possibly illegal charge, I was told the extra charge was for customers to pay for the employee's health insurance. I though this was outrageous. With the ridiculous prices they are charging for their product and for them have the nerve to expect the customer to pay for helps insurance with out the decency of letting them know they are being ripped off. I want everyone to have insurance but not in such a deceptive way. I hope other customers read this and complain unless they are asked and not secretly overcharged.

One of the most LA spots in DTLA. Great place to bring visitors. Service is on point and food is always good. Nice selection of both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

Macrons are AMAZING - we did not eat here but got a box of macrons to go - wort every penny (~3$ each). I would love to try the food and other treats another visit. The queues were a bit confusing but staff helped line everyone up - we paid then got a card to mark off what flavors we wanted, then handed the card over and waited for our box. the problem was there were about 3 counters and no clear delineation of lines. One case was all chocolates, another was cakes and things, the last being the macrons right as you come in the door.

If you've ever been to Paris, you know this place is trés chic. Whether you do lunch or dinner your experience will be highly satisfying. For a minute, you do not feel like you are in DTLA, but in a highly cosmopolitan city. Their artisan bread is great as is there pizza and roasted chicken. While their deconstructed caesar salad is good, I would skip it. As for desserts, of course try the macaroons. The creme bruleé is good; though not the best I've had; as is there chocolate torte. A great date place...so go on take your gal out for dinner...or for you progressive girls take your guy out for lunch.
