Since I don’t own a lens which is wider than 18mm (pair that with a crop sensor as I do, and you can see the problem here), the only option I have for capturing a scene is to stitch several photos together. This is somewhat like using a wide-angle lens, but more complicated. The extra work doesn…

Did not get the chance to rent any equipment, If you are not a pro or know anyone who has rented from them several times you will be turned down, oh yeah or give them a $1000.00 deposit. I'm a student photographer and wanted to rent some better gear before going on vacation. I will not recommend this store and will post a review on the social media sites.

Hi Sidney, We are sorry to hear that you were unable to proceed with your rental with BorrowLenseses.com - For security purposes we do request deposits and/or insurance policies in case of loss or theft on a case by case basis. We always do our best to try to accommodate the needs of our customers and do understand your situation. Unfortunately it seems as though we were unable to fulfill your request due to our security protocols. Please take a look at our FAQ page for further information on this topic. Thanks, BL Customer Service

I have rented through BorrowLenses over the past few months and find their business to be extremely reasonable, cost effective and efficient for my needs. Their customer service is on point and I enjoy meeting their friendly and knowledgable staff every time I pick up or drop off equipment. I also like the fact that they have computers on-site because a few times, I've had to recreate my order and the process is a lot quicker when I can create the order myself. Keep up the Good Work!

Had a phenomenal First Time experience with Borrow Lenses a couple weeks ago. Borrowed a Nikon 12-24mm f/4.0 lens for a trip to Maine. The experience of finding and ordering the lens was very easy and straight forward. The lens shipped via Fedex and arrived ontime. The lens itself was in superb condition. Even sending the lens back was easy as they provided a return label and packaging. This is what renting camera equipment should be like. I am planning a trip to San Francisco in a couple weeks. I just ordered the same lens but this time I will be picking it up at a location near where I will be staying. Sure it will be a super good Second Experience! Thank you Borrow Lenses

I needed to test out a Fuji X series lens on my X-T1. Since BorrowLenses has been on my radar for about two years now, the decision to utilize their services was an easy one. Especially after they opened a NYC branch for pick-up and drop-offs. I was pleased to find the entire process very straightforward and as accommodating as can be for me as a consumer. The process began online, followed by a security and verification fax. I then visited the office in New York City to pick-up and drop-off the lens. In short, the lens was clean and in great shape. The service online and in-person was absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs to rent or try out photographic gear.

It's terrible!, they told me I would receive my deposit in few hours later, but I have been waiting for 3 days! And nobody responses my email.
Response from the owner - in the last week
Hi Zou, our apologies for the delay in the return of your deposit. The access of funds is totally dependent on the speediness of your bank. We can process the return release of a deposit, but then it is up to the banking system and their hours of operation. Our apologies if this seemed to take longer than desired. If you are ever having difficulty reaching us via email you can always call : 844-853-6737 Thank you for your business!

These guys are awful to deal with. I was a potential customer and had placed an order for over $600.00 that I no longer needed because they did not accept my insurance. Hey, thats all fine and dandy but what wasn't OK was them charging my credit card even though I cancelled the order 2 weeks prior. On top of that, they knew I was not going to use them because of the insurance issue. I'm still in the process of getting that $600.00 back. I may adjust my rating if they fix the issue.
