If your goal is somewhere in between generating leads and accepting payment, it is always a good idea to make payment optional. It’s an even better idea that we make our forms ‘smart enough’ to decide whether payment is required or give something for free depending on the answers. For those visitors who are ‘Only Browsing’ or ‘Only Researching’, your forms might even provide what they are looking for!

Borneosoft Online Forms allow you to enable conditional payment for your forms. You can simply provide the respondents to tick the checkbox to indicate whether they want to submit with or without the payment. You can also use formula or conditional logic for the form to automatically determines whether payment is required. E.g. you can set a conditional logic that only requires payment if premium products or services are selected.

In this example of Magazine Subscription Form:

The subscription payment is not required when the respondent only selects the free online magazine. When the respondent chooses any of the non-free magazines, the form submission will require payment. Importance of Providing Downloadable Receipt or Copy of Submission for Online Form.

Do you accept payment for your products and services through online forms and you need to provide a receipt? Do you also need to provide a copy of the submitted form to your customers?

Most businesses understand the importance of a good customer service specifically to enhance sales. But a good customer service shouldn’t end once the products or services are sold. It is always a good practice for any businesses to provide a receipt as a proof of purchase for products and services that are sold to the customers online or through a brick and mortar shop.

Email Notification When a Form is Submitted.

Do you need to send registration confirmation, receipt, or important documents to the respondent when the respondent submits the form?

Sending an email message as simple as “Welcome” or “Thank you” message is important for your customer engagement – yet many of us don’t send them.

Allow your customers to download the submitted form as PDF file to provide better user experience to your customers.

Although you can mention in your online form, asking your customer to print it if they need a copy of the submitted form, there is a better alternative to provide your customers with a copy of the submitted form.

You can now allow your customers to download the submitted form as a PDF file after the submission!

You can also enable the setting to send the email notification with submitted form in PDF format as an attachment to the respondent when the respondent submits the form or completes the payment.

You can download the submitted form as a PDF file after the submission. In addition, you will receive an email notification at the email address you use to fill in the email field. The email contains the submitted form attached as a PDF file.

Which one should I use PayPal or Stripe?

What does it mean if a payment service provider does not have a payment gateway?

You can think payment gateway as the online version of POS (point-of-sale) system in retail environment. When you buy something at the shop, you swipe your credit/debit card to the card reader and the reader sends the payment data to payment service provider to complete the transaction. Likewise, payment gateway provides the input fields, sends payment data to payment service provider and completes the payment transaction securely for online users.

Payment service provider may or may not have the payment gateway. To use its payment services, most payment service provider provides API (application programming interface) for the merchant to send payment data and complete the transaction securely. You can develop the payment gateway yourself using the provided API.

If you do not wish to develop it yourself, you can use Borneosoft online forms that provide the payment gateway for Stripe (credit/debit card payment) and PayPal Express Checkout.
