November 2017 - We are hiring! Come and join Boost.

Senior Consultant (£22,000 -£26,000 p/a depending on experience; potential to earn an additional £1,800 p/a performance-related bonus; pension):

Boost Marketing is the world’s first award entry consultancy. Helping businesses enter awards successfully is what we do for a living – day in, day out, since 2006. Boost is an exciting place to work and we’re a friendly bunch! We are looking for a full-time Senior Consultant to join our award entry consultancy team.

You’ll be client-facing, so you must be confident working with CEOs/Directors, with the gravitas to present and field questions. As well as visiting clients, you will support them remotely in the preparation of their written award submissions to meet award entry deadlines. As we work with clients from all sectors, you’ll work on a wide variety of interesting stories. Preparing an award submission requires excellent copy writing skills, an understanding of how businesses operate, and an ability to understand evidence and statistics and present them in a compelling way. Therefore, experience of copy writing is essential. Experience of writing award entries is also preferable, but not essential, as we will provide extensive training and support if you haven’t written any/many award entries in the past.

While we’ll start you off by giving you clients to look after, a big part of your role will be generating your own pipeline of work.

It’s essential that you can easily travel to client meetings and site visits, the majority of which are based in London and the surrounding area. In terms of your work location, it would be perfect if you could work out of our Hove office, but if you live elsewhere in the UK don’t let that put you off – if you’re comfortable and productive working-from-home then this could be an option too. You will also attend awards events from time-to-time.

Account-management is of the utmost importance. We have a team of project co-ordinators who will support you with this, but it’s you who will be client-facing, so you must be able to build strong relationships with both new and repeat clients. You’ll need to understand your various clients’ needs and pro-actively manage these, suggesting relevant award schemes to enter throughout the year. You’ll manage a portfolio of clients, negotiating client rates and producing accurate quotes.

Both your skills and client rapport during end-to-end projects must deliver confidence that gets clients on-board, keeps them happy and coming back for more.

The work environment is changeable and deadline driven so you will need to be highly flexible and a self-starter.

If this describes you, please send your CV along with a covering letter explaining why it’s the job for you, to rob.henson@boost-marketing.co.uk by close of play on Monday 27th November.

Woo hoo! Boost Marketing is 10 years old! From our humble beginnings (in Chris's shed) to the world's biggest, most amazing team of Awards Entry Consultants. We're proud to announce we have smashed our target of a £1 million pound turnover and continue to grow whilst being the best in the business - a business that didn't exist back in 2006! We want to thank everyone who has helped both past and present in making Boost what it is today. A truly amazing achievement!

Team Boost crossed the line! The weather was amazing and the atmosphere electric as we joined the 12,000 runners in the Brighton Half Marathon on Sunday.
Well done to Chris, Donna, Milly and Gemma for a fantastic achievement and raising a whopping £1,277 for The Springboard Project. Thanks so much to all of you that donated.
A few sore legs today and a few aches and pains, but who is up for the next one? Haha.

Four of Team Boost are running the Brighton Half Marathon on 22nd Feb and need your help to inspire them across the line!
They will be raising money for a wonderful local charity called The Springboard Project which provides disabled children with much needed safe and inclusive play opportunities, and respite care for their families.

If ever a charity deserved four members of team Boost to run 13.1 miles around Brighton and then collapse, this is it! Anything you can spare will be gratefully appreciated. Wish us luck!
