Us by David Nicholls is an absolutely hilarious novel about the struggles within a family and marriage. In a last-ditch effort to reconnect with each other, they take a month long "Grand Tour" trip around Europe. Travelling along with the Petersons was fun, heartbreaking, and a learning experience.

The Abominable is a densely-written, detail-packed and very, very long novel. Reading it was like walking through quicksand.

Adult Onset by Ann-Marie MacDonald failed to capture my attention and pull me into the story. While there was a lot going on, it felt chaotic, unorganized and lacked any intrigue or tension.

In The Boston Girl by Anita Diamant, eighty-five year old Addie recounts the rather dull story of her life to her granddaughter Ava. At times, the story slows to a snail’s pace.
