Bonney Announces the Launch of 123 Sewer & Drain Service

Bonney Plumbing, Heating, Air & Rooter Service, known for their superior sewer and drain services, has officially announced this week its launch of their newest program offer for residential sewer and drain cleaning. This program is called 123 Sewer and Drain and focuses on a specialized three step process.

These processes consist of: 1) clearing and cleaning the clogged mainline. 2) video camera inspection of the mainline with no additional cost added. 3) a written report of the work done with a 123-day clog-free guarantee.
The guarantee ensures that the cleared clogged will not return within 123 days, but if it does, Bonney will come out again and clear the clog for no additional charge.
Expansion Tanks: How They Act as a Safeguard for Water Heaters

Hot water heaters seem like a straight forward concept, it heats up the water that runs through your pipes, which provides you with a hot shower. Simple enough, until a problem comes up with your water heater, then questions arise.

Hot water heaters traditionally come in the form of a large tank. These tanks can commonly be found in a household’s garage. When things go wrong, it’s usual the best idea to call a plumber. When an experienced plumber comes out, they may suggest the installation of a new water heater as well as a thermal expansion tank, also known as an expansion tank.

Thermal expansion tanks are installed above the water heater itself.

Water Conservation: Why it Doesn't Have to be Scary

The term Water Conservation is defined as any beneficial reduction of water use, loss or waste. It also encompasses the management of the environment and how water resources will be used for the future generations.

In California, Governor Jerry Brown has issued a statewide water restriction due to the severe water shortage. Although many people associate water conservation with a negative connotation, there are several ways to conserve water without the feeling of hardship.

Ten percent of the homes in the United States can waste up to 90 gallons of water every single day. This accounts for more than 10,000 gallons of water wasted every year. These numbers are all more by clicking the link.
Our employee, Andrew Winter, was the featured speaker at Volunteers of America Sacramento's Fundraising Breakfast!

Summer Prep with Bonney: Common A/C Issues

With summer now upon us, you’ve probably already started thinking about when you are going to kick on your air conditioning unit. Sure, we have had some sporadic warm days here and there, but we are talking about the time when that AC unit goes on and stays on until those triple digits descend into more tolerable levels.

Something that may not have crossed your mind for summer preparation is the potential issues that your air conditioning unit may face this summer. Did you experience any issues last summer?
Living a Healthy Lifestyle Doesn’t Stop at a Better Diet
Many people count spring as their favorite season. It’s a time when flowers are blooming, the weather is becoming warmer and days are becoming longer. It’s also the time that people begin to see the dust that has settled in their home over the winter months. This usually spurs the spring cleaning ritual; the time to get the old out and the new in. With this in mind, plus the outdoor pollen, it can create an intolerable time for allergy and asthma sufferers.

Cleaning out the dark corners by dusting and mopping is a great start, but this may not be enough. It’s hard to realize that many Americans spend up to 90% of their time indoors. With this in mind, it’s crucial to have good indoor air quality. Indoor air pollution is the major cause of poor indoor air quality. These indoor allergens are significant to the trigger of asthma and allergy attacks. Poor air quality can happen when there is improper ventilation of the house, which can contribute to poor health. Besides allergies and asthma, poor indoor air can cause headaches, dry eyes, nasal congestion, nausea and fatigue. The American Lung Association recommends the first line of defense against poor indoor air is finding ways to keep the pollutants from the air.

The Bonney Team is Ready to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes with WEAVE

This coming Sunday, May 3rd, the Bonney Team will be walking with hundreds of other men to support WEAVE and their Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event.

We are thrilled to be participating in the upcoming Walk a Mile in Her Shoes because this will mark our first year walking! WEAVE is an important organization that is helping to shed light and raise money for a wonderful cause in our local community. Walk A Mile in Her Shoes is not just an event happening in Sacramento, but an international occasion, where men can embrace the opportunity to raise awareness about the serious causes and effects of sexualized violence. This will be WEAVE’s fifth year hosting this walk and they have set out to break the world record in the process. Having over 1,000 men in heels walking around the Capitol building will surely turn heads and make a statement in our community at the same time...

Bobby Turlington was wonderful he arrived on time and got to work and didn't stop working hard till the job was finished. He was polite and very clean. He explained to me what he was doing (replaced my furnace) at all times. Ryan Self was his helper and I have the same to say about him......... Both these men are an asset to Bonney Plumbing Keep up the good work.

Our house heating system quit working on Thanks Giving. I had heard their adds on the radio, so I called Bonney in the morning of the 28th. Their customer service asked for land lord authorization before they woukld even listen to the problem. None of the other companies I called asked for it. It took a while to track down the owner of the house. He was very responsive and called Bonney to give his OK. Bonney called me back stating the authorization had been given. After I explained that everyone in the house was freezing cold because the heater had been of over night, and outside temps had been in the low thirties, the lady told me they had no one available till the following Tuesday. What? Couldn't they have told me that right away? This was the first and last time I called them.

I typically don't give 5 stars to any organization but this one is well deserved. I needed a second opinion on a furnace board issue. My AC would run fine but the vent blowers in the house weren't blowing air. When I made reservations on line, Bonney Plumbing called me within 10 minutes to set a time window and date. They stated the the second opinion is free of charge. John came out to the house at the beginning of the time window which I appreciated. He was very cordial and professional and easy to talk to. He spent quite some time with the furnace board in the attic, disconnecting and reconnecting some wires and accomplishing other diagnosis. He said there weren't any problems with the board but that there was a tiny piece of insulation caught on one of the wires that may have been causing the blowers to operate intermittently. The vent blowers have been working since this time. He also checked the AC unit outside, refrigerant is fine but AC would need a dual capacitor replacement. I opted to hold off on this purchase for the time being. All in all I was very happy with the response time from Bonney, John showing up at the beginning of the window, and giving me an honest assessment that nothing is wrong; especially after spending a considerable time in the attic. Ultimately the vent blowers work again which exceeded my expectations of a second opinion.

This is my fifth experience with Bonney Plumbing over the last 20 years. I was positively impressed with Shane's professionalism at every step in his approach from information gathering to diagnosing and resolving the problem. After clearing the blockage in the sewer mainline he allowed me to view in the sewer camera where the roots that had caused blockage had grown through openings. Very happy we can use the washing machine again without flooding the shower with sewage.

Dmitiry Levko, Plumbing & Sewer Technician, just left our home. Our landlord scheduled him to come to our house and he was just what we needed. He was very professional. He explained everything he was going to do... and did it! He cleaned the sewer lines from roots that were clogging it. He took the time to show me the sewer line via a camera just how much the line was clogged and showed me the line after he cleared it out. He put in a new clean out access for future use if needed. He also installed three smoke alarms. He was a gentleman and I would recommend him to family and friends... Thanks Dmitiry!!!

Nick and everyone else who were involved in solving my plumbing problem were excellent in their knowledge, communication and repair of my system. Nick, being the main person in charge, presented options for the repair and worked very, very hard in solving the problems. He and everyone else involved were also polite and professional. I am very pleased with the results of the hard work. I commend Nick, not only for his ability, hard work and knowledge - but also his ability to instill confidence and relieve my stress over the amount of work that needed to be done and his ability to complete it timely and professionally. I also wish to thank Nathaniel. He was the first to arrive when I called for help. Nathaniel worked very hard and tried many options to fix the problem. It was Nathaniel who realized that the problem was not easily fixed and alerted the company that more assistance was needed. I thank you. Joan Claussen

Today we needed a new kitchen faucet installed. Jason did an excellent job of installing the faucet and gave us several options regarding the soap dispenser and the use of a faucet hole cover. He checked our water pressure, looked at our ten-year-old water heater, and discussed options for the future. Very knowledgeable and service oriented. Thank you again Jason C.
