Blogged about configuring OpenShift to authenticate via Keycloak using OpenID Connect.

Fun observation... configuration related to OpeniD connect is short, simple and both quick and easy to setup. Painful, time consuming and error prone part is setting up SSL properly...

I will be speaking about identity/security standards at Confitura on July 4th.

Confitura is pretty exceptional IT conference in PL. Done by community (initially originated from group of Warsaw JUG leaders) and for the community it is likely the biggest free conference in this part of the world. What makes it exceptional?

- Number of attendees usually get close to 1k.
- Unlike majority of other big conferences in Poland nowadays majority of talks are in polish. This in theory should make it less popular because of narrower set of speakers. Somehow it is not the case :)
- It gathers very good set of known speakers from whole IT community in Poland (most of presentations are in polish).
- It is free... This year for the first time attending will require symbolic fee paid for charity (around 5EUR). Only to limit number of people who sign up and not show up - biggest problem faced by any free events.

Still the biggest differentiator is that whole CFP and presentation selection process is open and community based. Everyone can vote for preferred presentations which should end up being selected for the agenda.

This makes the whole conference pretty interesting from presenter perspective. Acceptance is also a signal that majority of people find your topic interesting.

Mine has a title (translation from polish) "Presentation about security standards and protocols which won't put you asleep!". I made a promise to give good (although quick) overview of things like "OAuth2, OpenID Connect, UMA, SAML2, XACML, WS-*, JWT, JWS…"... and find an entertaining way to do so :)

Security is often perceived as boring necessity therefore I was quite curious if this one (and in this form) will get thru or not. Quite interesting outcome for me to be honest :)
