This is an image of a hawk that I took through a window on my bird feeder a last June. I first cropped it to include just the bird and then I used Color Efex Pro to enhance the contrast & saturation and to apply a vignette effect. Then the bird photo sat idle in my Aperture library for six months before I decided to use it for this project.
I loaded the photo into Viveza 2 from Nik Software and used a 5 minute process: darken the entire photo and then use Control Points to brighten the bird. It is definitely a "fine art" image. The real photo was taken in broad daylight on an overcast day, yielding a bird with washed out colors. It now looks like it was taken at dusk with an off-camera flash.
I am definitely going to explore more of this type of post processing.
I am sorry, but this one is a #KissOfDeath for them as far as I am concerned.
Honestly, I don't know any other way to word it. My kidney condition has worsened considerably over the past few months and I'm now looking at needing a transplant within 3 to 6 months. I want to be around for my wife Rachel and daughter for a long time, so this is necessary. Plus, I like life, it's fun! Death is lame, don't make me do it. (Jokes are my coping mechanism)
We will enter my name on the transplant list, but that tends to take a year or more to find a donor. Instead, there are two better options: I find a kind, healthy person willing to donate directly or indirectly through the kidney exchange network (it depends on your blood group). My blood type is A positive and my birthday is 06/12/1970 (you need this for the donor form).
If you are that person, please contact me!
