Excellent wine selection and great service. A little cramped for space, but that's typical for NYC. The food is nothing to write home about. I'd recommend the risotto, the kale side, and the panne cotta.

We went there for a party of 7 on Sunday night the last time we were there the food was fabulous. Then the nightmare began the manager was eating the entire time while we waited for our food we watched another couple get up and leave and saying the service was horrible. We waited an hour for our food that you be fair the food was excellent but, we founded the bill was not clear and they added to tip into the bill and didn't specify it. The bill came out to $347 and was not clear. When we questioned the bill with the manager he told us never to come back to the place again we also found out from the bartender that 7 employees just left that last week I don't know who's running this place right now and he wouldn't say his name but he acted like he was a thief I will never go there again the party we were with live ten him blocks away and they will never go back there again. I NEVER WROTE A BAD REVIEW BY THIS PLACE IS BEING RUN BY THUGS.

Bocca di Bacco has some excellent appetizers such as the rice balls (arancini) or the tomato, basil and mozzarella salad (caprese). The main dish, gnocchi, was average. The desserts were hit or miss, tiramisu being a hit. Prices are moderate to high. The crowd is hip and casual, loud and youthful. Stop by for a quick meal, focusing in on the appetizers and drinks.

Great neighborhood Italian gem! Excellent ambiance, food, and service. I'm taking away one star because our group was placed at the first table by the front window. Normally, it would be a perfect place to eat, but the glare from the setting sun was overbearing for our table. The server admitted it happens all the time. However, I do plan on going back--still thinking about the brushetta!
