Interesting... for you console gamers out there... We have an XBox 360 now and haven't decided what/when to upgrade.... but it is starting to look like a PS4 is in our future...

Microsoft’s console ambitions continue to lag behind Sony’s PlayStation 4, with concerns that the gulf in sales between the Xbox One and its key rival could be a trend of things to come. Sony announced earlier this week that it had sold seven million…

I say this a lot.... give us another 50 years of studying animals... we might discover that humans might not be so special.

Humans might be just special in self-destruction and making life hell (right now in many places on earth, where war and terrorism is taking place). But I don't give up hope that it's becoming better.

If you want to get psyched about materials and electronics of the near future, check out this overview of Graphene....
The material has the potential to change the electronics industry, and recently researchers have focused on how to produce it commercially.

Ah - the good old days... "Calgon, take me away"

I wonder if it is still as fun.... but the key is to have a great DM and those are hard to find. WoW filled a lot of the fun and escape.

I bet this would be fun to play via Hangouts. .... maybe.

#bloodmoon   total eclipse of the moon — the first visible from North America since 2010. The eclipse will start a few minutes before 1 a.m. EDT and slowly continue over the next two hours until it peaks (reaches totality) about 3 a.m. on Tuesday. On the West Coast, it starts about 10 p.m. Monday night and reaches totality just after midnight.
The weather may play havoc with the sky-watching on the East Coast, though much of the Midwest and West ought to get a good view.

The World's 2nd Most Interesting Man
Introduction
Fun, Curious, Focused, Progressive, Initiative, Resourceful, Teacher, Mentor, Leader, Critical Thinker, Listener, Competitor

Though I am an entrepreneur by heart, have founded my own company, have patents, and what not, I hate the though that defines who I am. So here's some frames:

As for Technology: Technology in general, not from the latest and greatest, but from the perspective of change and changing humanity and the more disruptive that changes is, the more it gets me going. For example: smart phones: I am not so interested in the latest screen, fastest mobile processor, instagram, runkeeper, and other apps, but rather that those devices are slowly changing our lives from travel to communications to sharing experiences, to commerce. Another example is the interesting thing about a game like WoW is not that there are so many people playing it, the technology behind it, or sheer entertainment business, but rather that you have people of all ages from all over the world working together in a completely voluntary way to accomplish a single goal that has nothing to do with anything in the real world. It will be the way the world works tomorrow. (If I had time and the computer system, I'd still play)

As for gaming: World of Warcraft to Borderlands on the XBox. Both my wife and I are fairly avid gamers, though we are picky about our games and generally play together; Borderlands is our favorite now.

As for movies: Pretty much everything... but lean towards films with more depth. I will go out on a limb and say I did not think Avatar or Avengers were any good - all special effects and no story.... The best film I have seen recently is Star Trek: Into Darkness, American Hustle, and Dallas Buyers Club.

As for hobbies: Chess, Golf (though I haven't played in years), Pool & Billiards, Darts, and am generally competitive at just about everything.

As for other interests: Economics, especially European. Any science, especially high energy physics. Any engineering, especially new propulsion systems. Alternative energies, especially fusion. Computer-based home theater systems and smart home systems.

As for daily drivers: Fitness, Health, and focus on a plant-based-diet. I like to be fit; it feels good. I try to be healthy so that I can be around for a long time. I avoid animal products whenever possible for a number of reasons but the largest is for health.

As for other tidbits: We are also proud owners of a plug-in, zero emission, all electric 2012 Nissan Leaf. Best car I've ever owned and nothing like driving 450 miles on $2.25 worth of electricity!

All that is nice and all... but I truly live for my wife, Priscilla.

Great place... Highly recommend. Was in the heart of everything. Our room overlooked the intersection... Was a bit noisy because of where it was but it was a great experience. Shower was great with awesome water pressure. Bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean.

This is a great place to stay! Lots of great places to walk to, great town, rooms are very comfortable and furnished, and the owners are very accommodating. If you are in the area and looking for great comfort and relaxation, I recommend staying here. The only down side is that there is no free or paid wifi internet access. This would be nice to help checking in at night and publishing photos and details of the trip in the area.
