He'd probably do what he thinks is right, not necessarily "something for our cause."

I actually had seen the filling in of Hong Kong harbour to make space for homes/apartments to be built about 10 years ago. Sad.... The harbor was choppy, green and polluted. A very sad sight.

Fashionably cruel.
Can the fast fashion industry ever truly be sustainable? Earlier this month, H&M released its 110-page Conscious Action Sustainability Report, its 13th annual review of its green practices and efforts towards fair wages within its factories. Although many of its figures and initiatives are commendable (e.g.

Nice campaign idea, but I think EcoWatch misunderstands 'cheap'. Surely the real concern should be the H&M (and lesser known brand) synthetic and poly-cotton party clothes that kids will buy for $10-$50 and only wear a few times - if they last.
Also, placing the makers and buyers in the same settings suggests this has been faked. If a buyer traveled to the location of the maker, prices would be lower. If the other way round, what's the back story on the makers finding their way to a rich marketplace?

"As much as I admire the Philippine government's efforts to leverage prevailing international law to expose the paucity of China's questionable claims, it is high time for the Philippines to focus on fortifying its position on the ground, enhancing its own defensive capabilities, and re-orienting its national security strategy towards more concrete and tangible ways of defending its territorial integrity. This is not a battle of lawyers, but astute strategists."
While the Philippines is waging the snail's pace legal warfare, China is dramatically altering facts on the ground on a daily basis. By all means, the real struggle in the South China Sea is to protect your position on the ground, defending every inch of your territorial claim lest others will Darwin you out.

“There is not a single ancient Chinese map, whether made by Chinese or foreigners, showing that the Spratlys and Scarborough Shoal were ever part of Chinese territory. To repeat, in all these ancient Chinese maps, the southernmost Chinese territory has always been Hainan Island,” Carpio said.
China's claim over the South China Sea 'is based not on historical facts but on historical lies,' says Philippine Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio Carpio

We know that the main reasons for their claim are fairly modern even if they are using a supposedly ancient argument. The Chinese just want to exploit the possible fossil fuel in the area and the possibility of taxing the vessels passing through the busy trade route between the disputed territory and their mainland. It's all about money and military muscle flexing.

On April 29, 2015, Rolando Pamplona and his fellow fishermen came back from a day of fishing in the waters off Palo, Leyte. Rolando brought in his catch using his banca, a native Philippine boat, named Comunita ‘di Piansano for the Italian town that donated the vessel via NVC’s Peter Project. A day’s work earns …

Boxers Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will face each other this weekend in what many are calling the "fight of the century." Hyperbole aside, this match is expected to shatter serious money records -- in pay-per-view sales, ticket prices and gambling. But before playing the odds online, sports bettors should know they risk crossing paths with international organized crime.
