I admire Bill Gates for his philanthropic work. What I've realized is if you have passion, you can make a difference, and you don't need millions or billions. I started  the non profit PRWA www.PearlRiverWrestling.com  Check out our newest inspiring video 'Why I Wrestle' If your a wrestler, wrestling parent or athlete interested in wrestling  please pass around our link.  Dedicated to the coaches who inspired me,  Coach Mike Giordano aka Woody, Coach Fischer and Coach Zaleski thank you!

Does this quote resonate with you? Mental toughness, whether on the mat, football field, or in boardroom is a game changer.

In three different decades spanning from the mid 60’s, 70’s and 80’s Pirate Wrestlers in Pearl River, NY instilled fear not only in their Rockland County opponents but over bridges throughout their region with the support of a rabid fan base of Parents, Alumni and friends. Fast forward it’s the 2012-13 season. Early in the season the ‘buzz in the air” was mostly within our own community, but after the Section One Wrestling Finals of 2013, that buzz was heard from Rockland to Dutchess County, when this rugged, shorthanded team due to injuries, earned a 6th place finish, of 35 teams and crowned two champions and 4th place finisher. This film captures our journey from Pearl River to Pace University for state sectionals and Albany, NY for "states" Great commentary from our Wrestling Family and Pirate legends from those dominate era's. Pirate Wrestling is on the rise, all three sectional place winners return along with five others who vie for Section Honors. See the film here http://pearlriverwrestling.com/
