I updated the Which GEDCOM 5.5 grammar is correct? blog post to include the found GEDCOM 5.5 Errata Sheet dated 10 January 1986 with preview and download link to the PDF.

Read about the discovery via http://www.beholdgenealogy.com/blog/?p=1456.
The GEDCOM 5.5 standard is described in a PDF document prepared by the Family History Department of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints dated 2 January 1996 (which in two days is 19 years ago). When you Google...

I compared the grammar published in the #GEDCOM 5.5 LDS/PDF ("2 January 1996") version to one in the #GEDCOM 5.5 McBride/HTML ("Revised 10 January 1996") version and found several differences, some small, some big!

Let's call GEDCOM 5.5 + full errata dated 1996-01-10 GEDCOM 5.5 + Full Errata, or GEDCOM 5.5+FE for short. Let's call the McBride publication GEDCOM 5.5 McBride. These should but may not be identical.

Nearly exhausted my servers resources today because of the NOTE_STRUCTURE <> SOURCE_CITATION cycle in the #GEDCOM  5.5 grammar ...

The possiblity to attach a source citation to a note was dropped in #GEDCOM  5.5.1. This killed the cycle in the grammar!

The Chrome-extension RootsSearch by +JustinYork now has an options page where you can select the search engines you want to use.

So now you can also include Dutch oriented sources like familie trees on Genealogie Online (http://www.genealogieonline.nl/en/) and records on Open Archives (https://openarch.nl/?lang=en).

You can install this free extension via the Chrome Web Store: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/rootssearch/aolcffalbhpnojekmimmelebjchjmmgn

I have visualized the GEDCOM 5.5, GEDCOM 5.5.1 and actual #GEDCOM  tag use on Genealogie Online in tag trees. Read the blog post or directly dive into https://www.genealogieonline.nl/GEDCOM-tags/

For those interested in #GEDCOM : I've updated the "Used family tree programs" page on Genealogie Online to include statistics on program versions, GEDCOM versions and charsets. Click a program name to show these extra stats.
