Technology has - in so many ways - improved our lives. It’s almost impossible to imagine conducting business without the interconnectivity it has provided.

However, one of today’s acknowledged experts in technology and branding, +Dan Schawbel says it’s also created an “Age of Isolation.”

As Dan explains in our new episode of The Go-Giver Podcast, titled, “Back to Human” (the name of his new book), when not used properly - especially within a company - it can actually disconnect people as opposed to bringing them together. And, when employees feel disconnected they are less happy, and work and business (including company profits) suffers.

On the other hand, he also shares with us how an “experience renaissance” is now taking place in which technology can be used to foster healthier and more productive work cultures, including the key factors of “happiness, belonging, purpose, and trust.”

Listen in on a powerful discussion with Dan Schawbel at http://bit.ly/2PQrQ3R. Then purchase his fantastic book that was just released today and has already been chosen by the Financial Times as a "Business Book of the Month!" #BackToHuman

As a long-time sports reporter and author of 28 books (11 of them New York Times Bestsellers!) +Don Yaeger has made a career of being around greatness.

In his book, "GREATNESS: The 16 Characteristics of True Champions” he delves deeply into this topic and the end result is somewhat surprising…until you really think about it: the greatest of the great never site natural talent as the determining factor in their immense success.

So, what are the the four pillars and characteristics of the true champions; the greatest of the great in sports; that which truly separates them from the rest? And how can we “less than great athletes” :-) incorporate these into our own lives and businesses?

In our new episode of The Go-Giver Podcast, titled, “What Brings Greatness?” this is exactly what Don Shares with us.

And it’s fascinating, indeed!

Ask practically any entrepreneur, salesperson, or CEO what THE most effective method of growing one's business is and undoubtedly they’ll say, "word of mouth.”

That makes sense. When your businesses runs on word of mouth you're able to acquire new customers with much less advertising or other type of customer acquisition costs. And, since significantly more people are doing business with you without a significant increase in costs, it’s highly profitable.

Yet, while having a word of mouth strategy is perhaps the most important element of a business’ marketing success, very, very few businesses actually have a plan and a methodology to carry it out. At least one that works consistently, and powerfully.

And even if they do, we learn from marketing icon, +Jay Baer co-author (with +Daniel Lemin) of the recently-released, “Talk Triggers: The Complete Guide to Creating Customers with Word of Mouth” that they are most likely missing an extremely important element…a “Talk Trigger.”

IF this is you, prepare to be enlightened and entertained as well as to have your acquisition costs decrease, and your profits grow by leaps and bounds.

Not only has Jay coauthored, in my opinion, one of the most exceptional business acquisition books every written, he will share insights that you can utilize to immediately begin the process of developing YOUR company’s Talky Trigger (though, just take my word on this one…get the book ASAP and begin devouring it - I’m already excited for you!). :-)

Our new episode of The Go-Giver Podcast is titled, “Triggering Word of Mouth.” Listen in at http://bit.ly/2ziB9z0. You’re really gonna' enjoy this!

It seems as though the most important and powerful lessons in life are learned not in the business environment (though great lessons certainly occur in that arena) but from family; those we love and who love us.

Sometimes what they say and do are totally what we would expect…and other times, it’s a complete surprise. In both cases, to the degree we pause to take in the lessons, that’s the degree we can benefit personally and pass those lessons along to others.

In our new episode of The Go-Giver Podcast, titled," Encouragement & Family Lessons" we visit with the awesome +Mary Jane Mapes one of the foremost authorities on business relationships and leadership effectiveness on the platform today...and a great friend of mine. :-)

I hope that the family lessons she shares, along with several of her other wise insights, will delight you as much as they did me. Visit http://bit.ly/2yWuNW2 and listen in. Enjoy!

I’ve always been fascinated by those who can…predict the future. No not the seers, the clairvoyants, or even the psychics we see on television. I’m talking about those who through study, systems, and lots of practice, are able to spot trends - life and business-altering trends - well before they make themselves known to the rest of us.

One such man is +Daniel Burrus. I first saw him speak 30 years ago and his stage presence was amazing. But it's through his books, newsletters, and corporate speaking that he has become one of the most sought after and highly respected “futurists” in the world. The NY Times actually cited him as "one of the top three business gurus in the highest demand as a speaker."

Dan is the author of seven books, including The New York Times bestseller "Flash Foresight" and his latest book "The Anticipatory Organization: Turn Disruption and Change into Opportunity and Advantage" - a magnificent and enlightening read.

Indeed, the future will be here before we know it. And in this new episode of The Go-Giver podcast titled, “The Anticipatory Leader” you’ll learn from Dan how the future really can be predicted, and how you can utilize that wisdom to create -- for yourself and your business -- a distinct advantage.
