"A Small Lake in Yellowstone" USA, 2010
I sometimes fool around with photos in post, like this one, which I didn’t think too much off when I first started. It was a stitch made from 3 photos, and I kind of liked the reflection in the lake.
But after a few hours in Photoshop / Lightroom I ended up with what you see here, I know it’s not a master piece, but I still like the end result.
My point with this, is that sometimes you just need to try out different things and to get the look you want / like. The skill is to know when to quiet fooling around with a photo, and just realize that is no good, I have a lot of those too.
But isn’t that just a wast of time? I don’t think so. You get better at post processing in the process, and you might discover some new techniques a long the way.
