Went for early dinner on a Saturday - piped-in music was so loud we had to relocate a few times, but didn't make the experience any better. i had dined here a few times over the past several years and I loved the food, but the last time was disappointing. The sushi rolls were disappointing - I ordered a tuna roll with other things in it but the fish was very 'fishy' and smelly I couldn't eat it. nothing inspiring on the menu, except the tiny lobster bites; the hash that came with them as greasy and salty - diners do them better. Inspect your bill - we were overcharged but it was rectified once I pointed it out. That shouldn't happen in an upscale restaurant.

I was really looking forward to this place. I was really excited about "the best seafood in New York." My wife and I booked a reservation. The staff was friendly and polite, however, our waitress kept rushing us and kept trying to snatch up plates, forks and knives that we were not finished with yet. She seemed to want to rush us out of there. The food seemed good and I stress "seemed" good. It was very expensive. But when leaving I would have to say I was pleased overall with the food even if not so much with the experience of the place. We left being only slightly disappointed. Not nearly enough to complain about. THAT WAS UNTIL 4 HOURS LATER.. You see my wife does not eat seafood and ordered a steak that night. I, however, order 1/2 lb of crab legs and two rolls of sushi. about 3-4 hours later I began to get nauseous at a show we went to after. My wife and I had to leave the show we payed for early because I was so nauseous. When I finally got home I was projectile vomiting and had uncontrollable diarrhea after that. This lasted all night. Before you begin to doubt the legitimacy of my unstated claim that this was caused by my seafood dining experience. Both my wife and I are in a doctoral medical profession program. I have been well trained in food and waterborne illnesses. While I admit that there is a chance that this was caused by some other origin, my medical opinion is that it was caused by my dining that night. After experiencing the "Blue Water Grill" I will never go back and urge others to think twice before the spend $75 a person to run the risk of hanging your head in the toilet all night. I may be ruined from eating seafood again!!!

On a Wednesday night there was a large early evening, mature crowd in attendance but the staff was very pleasant and efficient. Appetizers, rolls and small plates are all very nice so just sticking to sharing a bunch of those is a great option here. Hidden gem on the drinks menu was the raspberry basil lemonade.

I went there for lunch for a meeting, and I enjoyed myself. Beautiful decor along with delicious food makes for a memorable experience. I had the lobster bisque, which was better than others I've tried. I also really like the old fashioned phones they have downstairs from the 1900's. Great photo op.

Got the pri-fixe for restaurant week Food: - Muscles - there were eight; two of them were not very good (sand and fishy, not quite fresh taste) the rest were okay; the sauce was pretty nice and buttered bread on top went well with it - Maki roll - cooked tuna fish with cucumber and arugula - the rice was a little dry but overall the flavor was good - Salmon sushi - fine - Roasted tilefish - pretty good - it was served roasted atop some cubes of eggplant and a green sauce; there were a few scales on the fish skin still - Blueberry shortcake - the shortcake was lemon flavored and ice cream was served on top of half of it like a sandwich; the blueberry sauce was really good and had whole blueberries in it - skirt steak - not bad Service: - it was fine; server was pretty nice

One of the best upscale seafood places. I always have the best experience here. Great food, even better service, great ambiance. It's a very spacious restaurant. It's a must!

I'm sure I would have enjoyed this restaurant a lot more if I hadn't come for Restaurant Week. Oh well, I may never know. First of all, it seems like every BR Guest (corporate entity that owns this place) restaurant has the exact same menu for restaurant week! I mean, really? You couldn't change it up just a little?! My girlfriend had the sushi roll as her appetizer - it was OK (the sushi place down the block from me in Astoria has better sushi for a fraction of the price) and I had the key west shrimp, which were not bad, but not that great all things considering. We both decided to go for the salmon as our entree and were shocked to see when it came out served on a bed of canned corn! No potato, no rice, no other veggies of any kind, just corn. Seriously?! I mean, I love corn, I eat it straight out of the can sometimes when I don't want to cook myself dinner, but when I'm at a nice fancy restaurant for a pricey dinner, I do not want canned corn with my Salmon! The Salmon itself was wonderful and a decent size portion. My friend got the chocolate cheesecake for desert, which was just too rich to eat. I got the upside cake, which was OK. I cannot complain about the service of the atmosphere of this place, but I suppose I should have gone in with lower expectations...

Food, atmosphere, service and location, are all very good. Sit outside on a pleasant evening (catch a view of the park); avoid the upstairs seating if the weather's warm (gets stuffy).
