We need to stay out of their civil war.  We can't afford it, and no matter which side prevails, it's still a bad deal all around.
Only if we establish a clear plan that includes a serious exit strategy and only if it's in our interest and Israel is excluded.
Nope; no good choices here.  The rebels are IslamoFascists, and Assad is a bloodthirsty tyrant of the worst order.
