An alternative could be an "undo" button which requires a database or some file history stored in an unused tag (e.g : previous file name).

On further readings, I think I've been looking at complex rules people have posted in the ideas board and believing them to be bliss rules when they are really dBpoweramp, EAC, or other programs' rules that are only for demonstration of what the poster wants to achieve. The one that does spring to mind, though, and you just replied to a couple of my posts regarding it, is the COMPILATION token. It is listed in a blog post on how to handle Various Artists releases, but no reference to it exists in the program itself. Again, on further reading of posts you suggested, it looks like this is due to a built-in mechanism for handling the flag. I'm not sure how to make that mechanism work for my purposes, but that's another subject for another day. I'm also trying to grasp how your tokens map to Vorbis comments, which keeps making me feel like something's missing, since THEIR rules are so vague. Thanks for your patience, and Happy New Year!

Five clunky album covers - inappropriate, misleading, frustrating or just plain annoying.
