Hello everyone! I just wanted to welcome our newest members of the community! We can't wait to learn more about you so don't be shy and definitely introduce yourselves!

As of this morning we at 22 folks - whoohoo! Would be great to have 25 by the end of the week so if possible, invite just one colleague into the community by tomorrow and let's see if we can push this number closer to 30. Have a great Thursday!

Last chance to join the #awesome  #google based summit in NYC. If you are looking for a fun day of learning, look no further!

Just a reminder that the NYC Metro Summit featuring Google is this Saturday.  The Google Educator Certification course is on Friday.   There are a few seats open for Friday and Saturday if you want to attend.

We are delighted that +Jason Levy will be our opening Keynote following a special message from two of our favorite +GoogleEduTeam
Saturday has a WIDE variety of concurrent sessions ~ so much real application of tools will be taught.

Friday Educator Certification Bootcamp is hands on, we use Google Classroom and cover a lot of hands on activities that you can take back to your school AND to help with the Exam(s).  Voucher for Level 1 exam is included in the registration price.

Breakfast and lunch is served / included as well as a Saturday Networking party at Canyon Road (right around the corner) directly after the Summit.

Whoa... I'm tired already!  Looking forward to seeing many of you there!

Yup...

Chrome OS will be merged into Android.

Well, it's finally happening. We'll get a peek next year at what Android with Chrome OS folded in will look like, but until then, here's hoping we get the best of both worlds.
Google has spent the past two years merging Chrome OS and Android and will have a unified OS in 2017.

Welcome & Introductions  -

Hi everyone! I'm an instructional technology specialist from NY and it's so exciting to meet you all! I work with schools all over the country helping teachers and students use technology to support their learning and have been doing this for 15 years! I'm one of the moderators of the community.

One fun fact is that I love mountains! I have never been to Lake Tahoe but I really want to visit. Recently I visited Binghamton in upstate NY and took a walk in the woods to see a waterfall. I look forward to sharing and learning with you all!
