300cc bikes are in. Ridiculous 200hp bikes are in. Bikes are in, don't ya know.
http://autoweek.com/article/motorcycles/long-beachs-motorcycle-show
It's the year of the entry-level bike with attitude, as well as the genuine superbike. The Long Beach Motorcycle Show of last year, even two years ago, seemed to celebrate the exuberance of a motorcycle revival. It was in the atmosphere, this electric notion that motorcycles were back, baby!, ...

The world's most legendary Gulf Porsche 917K, now up for sale. Every single 917K is equally legendary, of course.
http://autoweek.com/article/car-life/your-chance-own-worlds-most-legendary-porsche-917k
Not all Porsche 917s were created equal. Now, 004/017 can be yours. It all started with a conversation. On March 21, 1969, the night before the 12 Hours of Sebring, Porsche racing director Rico Steinemann met with manager John Wyer. Steinemann was on a mission from God, or Porsche upper ...

An endurance champion, one of twelve ever made, could be yours. For the right price.

6 of 17Legendary journalist Dean Batchelor said of the Ferrari 275 GTB/C: "The C is very fast and highly manoeuvrable and reliable, yet it is docile and tractable enough to allow normal road use with complete impunity." Photo by Bonham's. Ferrari 275 Competizione driving, rear ...

Would Ronald Reagan approve of the pink Honda S2000 from 2Fast 2Furious in his Temple to Reaganomics?
http://autoweek.com/article/car-life/petersen-car-museum-moves-reagan-library
Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this museum: Petersen cars head to the Reagan Library. OK, so Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev, sixth general secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, won't personally take a hammer to the Googie fins of the Petersen Museum. That would be the architectural firm ...

Penske's dream team of 1971 wound up with the unluckiest Ferrari 512M in all of racing.
http://autoweek.com/article/car-life/david-hobbs-penskes-ferrari-and-unluckiest-race-car-world
The Penske Ferrari 512M could have been a winner. It wasn't, but it's still special. In 1970, Roger Penske -- preparing to take on the 1971 World Sportscar Championships -- bought this Ferrari 512, rebuilt it from the ground up, and assembled a dream team for Penske Racing.

What do you call a group of Miatas? A flock, probably. What do you call a group of 2,000 Miatas? A Guinness World Record.
http://autoweek.com/article/car-life/nearly-2000-miatas-gather-monterey-new-world-record
Miatas descend upon Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to celebrate 25 years of roadster life. This past Friday, exactly 1210 Mazda Miatas pulled onto a dusty hill next to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, just to see if they could set the Guinness World Record for the most Miatas gathered in one place.

The Jaguar XJR-9 has fender skirts. Your Daytona-winning race car doesn't have fender skirts.
http://autoweek.com/article/auctions/jaguar-xjr-9-once-conquered-daytona-now-auction
On March 14, RM Auctions returns to the Ritz-Carlton at Amelia Island for its Concours d'Elegance auction. With an estimate over $3 million, this 1988 XJR-9 (with XJR-12 specification!) will be among 80 cars for sale. Some of the other cars may have fender skirts, but none will have won Daytona.

It's been 20 years since Steve Millen had the greatest season of his life, in the greatest race car ever made, based on the greatest car ever. Greatness.
http://autoweek.com/article/car-life/steve-millens-imsa-300zx-and-his-dream-season-1994
Millen looks back at winning Daytona, Sebring, and his class at Le Mans, 20 years later. It was on June 27th, 1993 at Watkins Glen where Steve Millen, having already won the previous year's overall championship, found himself again in the IMSA GTS Nissan 300ZX -- leading the IMSA GTS points ...

See America Right: how to drive (nearly) 834 miles from Albuquerque to San Diego, in the Audi A3 #TDIChallenge, on one tank of diesel. Rolling roadblocks, angry cops, glowing green ice caves, beef jerky, and one adorable cat named "The Mayor." http://autoweek.com/article/car-life/see-america-right-albuquerque-san-diego-one-tank-diesel
Losing our minds for 834 miles on Audi's TDI Challenge. Somewhere outside Flagstaff, Ariz., inside the world's slowest-moving Audi, photographer extraordinaire Mike Juergens and I had endured an entire day of headwinds, uphills, range anxiety, careening trucks, desert-induced ennui, furious cops ...

The world's first look at your next favorite sports car: the 2016 Mazda Miata.
http://autoweek.com/article/car-news/2016-mazda-mx-5-miata-debuts-monterey
World's most popular roadster becomes lighter, sleeker, more focused. "Never before has the jump in generation to generation been greater," said Mazda chief designer Derek Jenkins about the 2016 Mazda Miata -- the ND generation, if you're keeping track, is as stratospheric a leap from the NC as ...
