I am not a big fan of statements like "10 Steps to Happiness" , or 5 Steps to this or that, because not many things in life are that simple. And one person's happiness is another person's ... (unhappiness?).

It would be more accurate to say "10 Attitudes or Actions That Contribute to a Happy(ier) Life", but it is not as catchy. This one works somewhat, though, since the image actually IS of "steps". ;-)

Hey, how about Stairway to Happiness?

Happiness. That elusive concept that we humans seem to think is the be all and end all. Is it? What is happiness? For another time....

Nonetheless, these are good things to do, and do indeed increase your chances of living a more content life - especially if each step is contemplated deeper, and taken to its fullest understanding and application.

To a happier you!

P.S. This is how my mind works when I see something in my stream and commence musing instead of working. Squirrel!!!

He has risen!!

I ponder today the greatest story ever told. It's either true, or it's not. If it's true, amazing! And worthy of our attention and dedication. If it's not, it's the greatest hoax of history. I believe it is true. What about you?

True story:

While paying for frozen yogurt

Me: "Hi, how are you?"

Under-20-worker: "Good, and you?"

Me: "Fantastic"

Worker: "Cool! That will be $2.68"

Me: (upon seeing an empty tip jar) "Keep the change" (I gave her $3.00)

Worker: "Thank you!" (With a smile on her face)

Me: "Have a good evening"

Worker: "You, too"

As I was walking away and assumed out of earshot I heard the under-20-worker say to another obviously under-20
-worker standing beside her, "I love old people. They are so nice."

"I know, right?"
