Thanks Blain. With all due respect, it isn't merely about what I like. It's about very obvious, glaring design omissions when it comes to the website. Any half way competent UI/UX ought to know enough to avoid such mistakes. Based on my interaction with TDA regarding the website, I'm not at all sure if they have the necessary talent to design a website that's functionally efficient as well as aesthetically superior. It seems to me that they're badly lacking in several areas, starting from design through functional/usability testing. I'm also very disappointed in that when I sent in detailed feedback, there was little or no response. The responses I got came after I posted on their FB page. However, imho, TDA is not very responsive to criticisms about their website. That leads me to wonder if they place any value on long time customers. This poor response and the shoddy website are the reasons I've stopped recommending TDA to anyone, unless they're planning on confining their activities largely to TOS.

As I've said before, the two things that have kept me at TDA are the TOS platform and the excellent service, both over the phone and in the local branch. Absent either one of them, there would be no reason for me to continue with TDA any more.

Just my $0.02!

Full year summary of my trading in 2013 and the services I use each day.
The new year has arrived and with it comes another edition of Tools of the Trade. This is the fourth installment (see 2013, 2012, 2011). 2013 was quite a year. We published the StockBrokers.com 2013 Broker Review in February (2014 due out this February). Then in May my 1st authored interactive book, The Interactive Guide to Technical Analysis, was published. Shortly thereafter, my daughter was born in June, and last but not least we launched the ...

Top 30 stocks of 2013, these big winners made many investors happy this year!
2013 has been a big year for stocks as the S&P 500 has moved up over 28% YTD and only three trading days remain. To find the top performers for 2013, I ran a stock screen at FINVIZ. ETFs were excluded and volume had to average atleast 300,000 shares per day.

The Pros, Cons, and everything in between when it comes to REITs. :D
A Real Estate Investment Trust, or REIT, is a real estate company that is modeled after the mutual fund market. REITs were first created in 1960 by the U.S. Congress in order to offer all Americans, regardless of their income level, the opportunity to invest their funds into income-producing real estate in a similar fashion to investors who invest in stocks via mutual funds. Any land with income-producing improvements made to it, such as apartmen...

Interviewing pro trader Ross next Monday night!

Looking forward to this interview on #tickertv  with +Ross Cameron on +Blain Reinkensmeyer channel http://ticker.tv/stockjunkie
Next Monday night, 8 PM EST, on my Ticker.tv channel StockJunkie, I am going to have the pleasure of interviewing Ross Cameron of DayTradeWarrior.com. When someone referred me to Ross Cameron's year end results for 2014, I immediately took an interest. From his blog post, Ross finished the year with a total profit of +$220,346.69. Based on his starting portfolio size for the year of approximately $150,000, Ross's $220,346.69 return equates to a ...

Never a bad time to leave your ego at the door and learn from your mistakes!
The year end is all about reflecting back on past trades to learn from the winners and losers alike. With proper trade analysis techniques this is a fairly painless process (unless you have trouble leaving your ego at the door). To find my best and worst trades, alongside analyzing my trades to identify poor habits that need to be corrected, I am using the latest version of the STTG Trade Analyzer tool. The search I did here was simply scanning t...

Great insight into conducting trade analysis the right way.
Earlier this week I was having an email discussion with a fellow STTG'r, Miguel, about the new STTG trade tools and ideas for improvements. The discussion sparked a simple thought, what variables do investors use when logging their trades? Why?

STTG V1.0 is officially here!
Ever since the most recent STTG quarterly reader survey I have been driven with extreme passion and enthusiasm to build something special. The goal is simple, to make it as easy as possible to log, store, and learn from your past trades. It has been roughly two months of development with one month of private testing from about 50 STTG'ers (you guys and gals rock!) to get to our first stable public release. Today we launch with Version 1.0.

Are you missing this critical piece successful investors possess?
I've discovered there is something big missing from this routine 99% of us partake in. Actually, this is something so critical that I realized I would never experience true out-performance until I made it a part of my daily routine.
