Since the last contest was such a success we figured we'd do it again. Send us pictures of yourself wearing Black Rose swag anywhere in the world. It could be your home, Australia, The Great Wall of China, heck it could even be Mars (we're not holding our breathe). The person with the coolest picture gets a Mystery Bag which includes VIP passes to get into the Rose on St. Patrick's Day. Not only can you and a friend cut the line, but you also get in free. Send your pictures to us at Rose@Irishconnection.com with the subject header: Photo Contest. We can't wait to see them!

What color is Guinness? You may think it's Black but it's actually a ruby red. The next time your bartender pours you a pint, watch them closely and maybe you'll see the red hue!

Did you have quite the craic on Arthur's Day but now you're paying for it? We suggest Pedialyte, Gatorade, Lucozade, or stopping by the Rose for the cure. A pint of Bud Light is just $3.50!

This is our first post...yay first post. It's only fitting that we start it off with a Guinness related joke.

Lost at sea, two Irishmen, Patrick & Michael, were adrift in a lifeboat following a dramatic escape from a burning freighter. While rummaging through the boat's provisions, Patrick stumbled across an old lamp. Secretly hoping that a genie would appear, he rubbed the lamp vigorously.

To his amazement, a genie came forth. This particular genie, however, stated that he could only deliver one wish, not the standard three. Without giving much thought to the matter, Patrick blurted out, "Make the entire ocean into Guinness Beer! The genie clapped his hands with a deafening crash, and immediately the entire sea turned into the finest brew ever sampled by mortals.

Simultaneously, the genie vanished. Only the gentle lapping of Guinness on the hull broke the stillness as the two men considered their circumstances. Michael looked disgustedly at Patrick and after a long, tension filled moment, he spoke. "Nice going Patrick! Now we're going to have to pee in the boat."

If you want experience a classic Irish pub in Boston, The Black Rose is the place to do it. They have live music every night, and all the classic new england, and Irish dishes you can get. (Guinness on tap is nice too!) The one thing that would make me want to come back would have to be the Boston creme pie. Some of the best I have ever had!

On my first visit to Boston we went here for authentic atmosphere. It was a ton of fun, the bartenders were speaking in such heavy Irish accents that we had to ask them to repeat our order a couple times. Just don't ask the bartender for an Irish Car Bomb!
