Pretty crazy device. Arduino based key logger for any Microsoft wireless keyboard around you, within a USB wall charger. Also it can be monitored from remote. Details to build it yourself in the video and on the site.

Interesting kickstarter project.
Point is a smart house sitter. It listens to the sounds of your home, senses what's in the air and lets you know if anything is wrong.

Doesn't say where the data goes, unfortunately. Does it send data to The Cloud? Or does it stay local?

Thoughts on the Oneplus One...

Given that pre-order of Oneplus One starts tomorrow I figure I'd share my thoughts about the device after about two months of daily use. I probably not reveal anything surprising for most of you but here's my thoughts anyway.

TL;DR: Great phone, camera not performing too good in low light but the excellent battery life and impressive price makes it a great buy!

I really like the Oneplus One (OPO). It took a little more time getting used to the size than previous phones but now I don't even think about the size anymore. The only drawback with the size is in situations like when using an exercise band on your arm when running, then I'd prefer the size of for instance a Nexus 5.

The battery and the price is really the biggest selling points with the OPO. I get through a day and I get up at 6 AM and rarely put the phone on the charger before midnight. I get about 5+ hours of screen time and I have GPS on all day with location logging on in Google+ as well as listening to podcasts for about 1,5h each day. So it holds up really good.

The only negative thing about it is unfortunately a big one for me at least. The camera isn't very good in low light conditions. I experience it about the same as the Nexus 5, which mean great in outdoor lightning but pretty bad indoors. I photograph my kids a lot and they never stand still as any other kid which makes it tricky to take non-blurry shots. That's really a bummer. I'd still love to see progress on the camera side on Android. The battery life on Sony Z3 and a couple of other, OPO included really is enough for pretty much anyone to get through the day on one charge. That's the crucial point as I see it.

Also there's little things like CM themes and a lot of customization possibilities which are great. One of the best feature though is the double tap to wake the phone up as well as drawing a circle on the screen with the screen off  to start the camera directly.

So overall a great phone which definitely is worth its money. It's gonna be hard to motivate the purchase of Nexus 6 but if the battery holds up as well as on the OPO but with a camera that stands out I sure will be tempted. Adding another 0,5 inch is not on the positive side though.

Nice photos and to answer the title of the article (in my own unbiased opinion) I can't anything than agree. ;)

Home automation/remote control your home
One of the more unexpected advantages of having numerous remote controlled power sockets at home is the ability to inform your wife at home to turn off the silent mode on her phone when trying to call her by turning the lights in the whole house on and off. :)

Party mode removed from Google+ events?
We've been using Google+ events and party mode in my family to automatically gather photos in one place when doing something special.

Lately the option to activate party mode haven't been available for some participants and now it seems to have disappeared completely. Too bad. Anyone else noticed that?

Hopefully Google+ Events will be revamped and improved but I doubt it. A bit weird that they removed that single feature though.

Fun idea!  =D
The brothers made the pictures into a Christmas calendar as a gift for their mother to remind her of the good old days and appreciate her children's beautiful brotherhood, which only seems to have grown stronger over all those years. Some of them are disturbing, some of them are odd, but all in all, the photo calendar came out touching and brilliantly amusing!
