What happens when we can’t use our devices or access all the data that supports a modern life? How much would we pay to get it all back?
Here is R for #Ransomware, the answer to exactly these questions, in a new episode of our ‪#‎ABCofCybersecurity: http://bit.ly/29Pp6Ay
Smartphones and computers are becoming increasingly important in our lives, changing how we chat, talk, work, study, read, shop and move around. What happens when we can’t use our devices or access all the data that supports ...

#PokemonGo fans, take care: beyond the presumed DDoS attack, 3 fake apps were found on Google Play. Two were delivering ads and scareware (malicious computer programs designed to trick a user into buying and downloading unnecessary and potentially dangerous software), while a third app was locking screens after being installed.
Gotta catch them all, but stay #safe and aware of your privacy!
This hypothesis sprung on Saturday when Niantic servers suffered severe downtime that affected all game infrastructure, according to news reports. The game was unavailable for several hours, much to the disappointment of the ...

Well, this is a step in the right direction. But why isn’t #Facebook enabling #SecretConversations by default? And if Facebook Messenger starts offering end-to-end encryption won’t that frustrate law enforcement agencies?
Here are all the details you need to know about the Secret Conversations announced by Facebook:
Graham Cluley is an award-winning security blogger, researcher and public speaker. He has been working in the computer security industry since the early 1990s, having been employed by companies such as Sophos, McAfee and Dr Solomon's. He has given talks about computer security for some of the world's largest companies, worked with law enforcement agencies on investigations into hacking groups, and regularly appears on TV and radio explaining co...

Do you have an internet-accessible webcam?

If so, are you sure it is secured with a strong password and not still using the default password that it shipped with? Watch out for #DDoS attacks:
Do you have an internet-accessible webcam? If so, are you sure it is secured with a strong password and not still using the default password that it shipped with?
