We really enjoyed updating the branding for local business, Parkes & Co. With a strong reputation in #otley and the #wharfevalley, we wanted to give them something that would stand out, and work across their #signage #brochure #website and #businesscards .

There's a lot to be learnt from visiting other companies, whatever their size. Embedding this as part of your innovation and team strategy is really important, especially if you have limited training resources.

So I was especially pleased when Sky Betting and Gaming said I could visit and bring along a few clients.

We gained an excellent insight into their business and unique culture, the motivation of their teams, bonus schemes and how they measure and assess performance.

We picked up lots of other ideas besides, and what a great working environment to be in. #teambuilding #culture #kpis #motivation #leadership http://ow.ly/i/IRQGm http://ow.ly/i/IRQHC

An interesting challenge... adapting a UK #website for the #chinese market. You have to relearn layout, how the Chinese customer engages with websites, all the way through to domain name and server location. We ended up with a nicely designed, easy to update website... with increasing web traffic.

One of the rewarding things about working with a mix of SME and MSB clients is being able to bring them together.

When it comes to CSR, even a small SME can have a huge impact when you factor in their supply chains and customers.

So it was great today when I got the chance to visit Candlelighters again in Leeds, but this time with two very different clients.

Not only can the clients work together, but they can combine forces to help @Candlelighters

A very rewarding day. #charity #teambuilding #csr #smesector #societyandculture

It's always nice to see some of your #graphicdesign work when you're out and about.Working with the Woodland Trust is always interesting, especially when you get the chance to go and meet them on site.

When you're producing designs for a good cause, it's not really work!

There's a lot of excitement and nerves at the upcoming Yorkshire Three Peaks walk at LampShop Online on October 14th. Kit lists are ready, and the team are contemplating an extra early morning start on what promises to be a cracking day.
Many of the team haven't walked huge distances before, so we're all really proud that they've signed up in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Sharing best practice is vital for business. It's a great way to galvanise teams, reduce implementation times and empower individuals to contribute towards and lead change.

When combined with effective recruitment, training, an open culture and an effective system of best practice sharing... it becomes ever more powerful.

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust employ the same principle, entitled 'Listen to Learn.'

After attending some of these sessions, the level of staff engagement seemed to be excellent, with input from a mixture of sources about possible future improvements.

An interesting case study from Smart Insights about Amazon.

It's easy to forget about the Amazon story, and how they have changed online purchasing behaviour so much.

Marketing is more than just picking a target audience and the right channels. It's about understanding your competition, measuring success, your brand... and developing the people that help deliver it.

It's no coincidence that in the last 3 client visits - all spent c 75% of their time talking about people. Recruitment, training and a strong shared vision all featured heavily.

It's not surprising that all 3 clients have something else in common.... consistent turnover and profit growth, low staff turnover and excellent customer feedback.

If you think your business would benefit, we're running a workshop which covers all the essentials on Oct 30.
