We're supporting ‘Big Dave’ – a finalist in the National Lottery Awards
One Brummie ‘Standing up for Birmingham’ is Kings Norton resident Big Dave Gauder. A former world strongman – and holder of 26 world records for strength and endurance – Dave is one of six finalists in the Education sector of the prestigious National Lottery Awards.

Bullied at school, Dave now uses his skills, knowledge and experience to run anti-bullying campaigns, working with those on probation and other young people not in training education or employment. Officers in Planning and Regeneration are now working with Dave to help expand his work.

Please vote for Dave (SLAM H) in the Education category at http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards before 23 July. Winners will be announced in a star-studded BBC One show in September
