Have your say on the Mayoral West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) consultation

It’s really important that Birmingham residents make their voices heard as part of the Mayoral West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) consultation which closes at midnight this Sunday, 21 August. The WMCA brings together neighbouring councils working together to invest in transport, jobs and skills and the mayoral consultation asks for your say on how decisions will be made and who’ll be responsible for what.

Exciting news for Birmingham Heritage Week (8-18 September)
The world’s most famous steam engine will be arriving at Tyseley Locomotive Works during Birmingham Heritage Week, as the city celebrates its achievements, history and culture next month.

The Flying Scotsman will be on display alongside Tyseley’s resident steam locomotives 16-18 September. The legendary locomotive’s visit is just one of more than 170 events taking place during the week, many of which are free. Visitors will be able to explore venues that are rarely open to the public, enjoy interactive storytelling, take part in workshops and discover Birmingham’s hidden gems on guided tours.

+Karl Evans well said. But i doubt they read this. Or even take note. Some monkey on the net, tapping away at a keyboard, definitely wont put these comments to the higher management.

Im from inner city....asian and eastern European populated. Drive through other inner city...predominantly white area. All fucked up. Then drive to "posher" areas and wow...nice. at least get our road cleaners back. And fill in the holes!

How does Birmingham City Council tackle fly-tipping?

Abandoning (fly-tipping) rubbish is illegal and can lead to a fine of up to £50,000 along with imprisonment.

We investigate dumped rubbish and can serve a legal notice to landowners to clear rubbish that attracts or harbours vermin.

Help us identify culprits and where we have sufficient evidence we will prosecute fly-tippers.
