Last week we addressed one of the questions most people ask when it comes to #SellingOnAmazon. As we explained, it is probably one of the easiest ways to launch your entrepreneurship career, and you should.

Today we move on to the next question about start-up costs.

Often when people have gotten over the initial fear of starting their business, the question of how much they need to start comes up.

As you may be aware, starting a brick and mortar business costs a lot of money and can be very difficult to sustain overtime. With Amazon, you do not have to deal with many of the expenses that are usually associated with Brick and Mortar business model. Many Amazon sellers start selling and become very successful with as much as $2,000 (R28,000). You don't have to invest a fortune. Start small and grow your business.

E-Commerce Updates:
This week was a busy one for shoppers all over the globe. We share some of the updates from shopping activities from between Friday and Monday.

#CyberMonday 2018 hit $7.9 billion in sales on November 26, a 19.3% YoY increase from 2017. It was the biggest online shopping day in U.S. history.

#BlackFriday, November 23, saw a total of $6.2 billion in sales, beating out the predicted growth of $5.9 billion. YoY growth was 23.6% from 2017.

Saturday, November 24 saw $3.02 billion in sales, a 25.5% YoY increase from last year.

Right here in South Africa, Takealot was the winner, raking in R196 million - a 125% year-on-year growth in gross merchandising value (GMV). A great example of how an African company, an online retailer is living the dream of the internet age.

Did You Know #BlackFriday is the Busiest Day of the Year for Plumbers

It may no longer be the busiest day of the year for retailers, but Black Friday still reigns supreme for another industry: plumbing.

That's a bit of a surprise, right?
