#epicfail Amazon Prime - What has Amazon done to there Prime service... http://www.Amazon.Co.UK/Prime

Well, renewal for the service automatically includes Amazon Instant Video, pushing the cost up of course.

There's no choice, you either accept the hike in cost or you cancel your Prime subscription.

When I asked if we can opt out of the video service, I was informed with this:

" The GBP 49.00 membership, which included unlimited One-Day delivery and access to Kindle Owners' Lending Library, has been replaced by the new and improved GBP 79.00 Prime membership, which includes Prime Instant Video. The GBP 49.00 membership is no longer be available. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes. "

I don't use Kindle, but that was okay.

I don't use video streaming because my rubbish Internet (thanks BT!).

So why does Amazon think Forcing a more than 50% price increase to there delivery service (Prime, I use it for next day delivery like most people) will be good for customers?!?!

I refuse to see this change as a replacement, it's simply not.

I will be terminating my Amazon Prime subscription before renewal, I recommend you check your renewal date before you get stung by Amazon.

I will also stop using the Amazon Market after my cancellation.

Amazon, you've let your customers down, this should have been optional not forced.

I wouldn't care if the streaming service was actually good, but the selection of content is hopeless. If you could stream the same library as the DVD postal service it would actually be a good deal.

My plan is to just be patient and wait the extra few days for super saver delivery!

Running Android Studio v0.4.6 (and previous versions) I found that the Gradle build process for Assets, only included a single folder of files (no sub-folders and I couldn't change the assets folder from "src/main/assets" even though I tried a number of times in the .IML file, it simply reset itself).

I wanted to use PhoneGap, and therefore I expected to have numerous assets (html, js, css, images etc.) but I didn't like the idea of having them all in a single assets folder.

I set about updating the Android Module build.gradle to copy the assets and sub-folders from where I put them in to the build assets folder that is used when creating the .APK application file.

I tried various options found on the internet, there are quite a few, all very similar... but to be honest they just wouldn't work.

I did a fair amount of testing and have so far settled on the following appended (see image) to the end of the build.gradle (Android Module, not main project).

I can't say I've tested it fully in creating a release .APK application build, but it's working for me so far.

As you'll notice, the last three lines attach the two new tasks that I create (1. debug, 2. release) to the "assembleDebug" task that I found in the Android Module's .IML file, I've tried adding them to the "assemble" task as well, but this worked best.

Hope it's useful to anybody wanting to do the same thing... I'm sure there are better ways to do this, but it works and it's clear how it works with plenty of gradle log output too.

By the way, I dropped in the PhoneGap cordova-2.9.1.jar (which I built using the build script that came with it) in to the "libs" folder of the project, and added the cordova.js in to my assets folder (which I actually have setup as "www" in the Android Module root (not project root, that's described in the "fromPath" variable).

Good luck developing guys!

Winter Olympics 2014 Short track timing for Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final all happens in just over 1 hour today, I would have thought the competitors would have a little more time in between races... Go Elise Christie for team GB!!! You can do it!

Poor Elise, it's hard to believe what happened to our greatest speedy skater during these Olympics, the judging hardly seems fair...

Sochi Winter Olympics Speed Skating, Elise Christie did a cracking job earlier today on the ice, only to be marked as Did Not Finish, even after the referees watched her complete the 1500m in style... It's a sick joke to punish her in this way and rob her of dreams. Support for Elise in her next race and those that follow.

Has anybody created a "Save as" button (extension) for open items?

Prompting for a save name/filename/directory where appropriate.

I don't think it should need to prompt for a new location though, but that could be a configuration option.

This sounds like a useful button to have and users would already be familiar with how it works.

I know you can achieve this using the copy & paste feature, but Save as would be a lot faster and more convenient at times.

+Frank Taylor well I was thinking in Tridion it would work by creating a new item using the open items xml with changed details... Not a file save.

"You are not allowed to add parent Keywords when there are no allowed parent Categories specified on the Category"

That was the strange error message I received the other day when trying to add a child Keyword (to an existing Keyword).

Have you seen this error before?  It's a first for me.

Checking the XML of the Category I found the AllowedParentCategories to be empty, when all other Categories had a link back to themselves.

Interestingly the Category already had Keyword branching (keywords in keywords) and so it should have been straight forward.

The fix I used was to use Core Services (I use C# in Linqpad) and set the AllowedParentCategories link on the Category (to itself).

Keyed my Sony Z1 (super phone), it's a little patch of several scratches approx. 6mm in length and looks like some dust, but it's not. Will try the baking soda paste fix later :-S
