If you're thinking of guinea pigs this Christmas, consider rehousing one of the many guinea pigs that currently have no family... We did and our girls are lovely, thanks to Hazelcroft Rescue http://hazelcroftrescue.weebly.com/
Hazelcroft Rescue is a family run guinea pig rescue based in St. Albans, Hertfordshire. We take in unwanted guinea pigs, then rehabilitate and care for them until new loving homes can be found.

If you ordered an iPhone 6 from phones 4u, there's no phone coming and no refund either. Bad news for the customer, do banks issue payments like this?
I think credit card transactions are normally insured against transactions where goods don't show up...
The company's administrator has said those who forked out for the device won't get the goods or a refund

Complete the sprint duathlon today (5km run, 20km cycle and final 2.5km run - that's the point where my legs wouldn't move like my brain was asking), put on by #BRJRunandTri, enjoyed it thoroughly and looking forward to beating my time of 1hr 25mins next year. Everybody was welcoming and the event was my first, so a real eye opener just how fast the cyclists are, will have to get some practice in for sure 😃
Thought I might have left my cold out there in the field, but no such luck.
Frost bite season starts for the clubs next weekend, should be a good turn out.

Amazon should wise up to how they treat (or rather disappoint) customers.
I was disappointed with the Amazon Prime increased in the UK, but fortunately I didn't have the issues that Rehan had...

Amazon's threatening to shut down my account. Their customer service has been awful. If they don't shut it down, I'll probably leave them anyway after this.
After being a loyal Amazon customer (in the US, UK and Japan) for the last decade, I've found myself getting royally messed around by them for the last few months, and I've had enough. My Amazon account is under threat...

I wasn't really mixing work with business. Was just hoping to dabble with AWS to learn more about it (although yeah, in hindsight, perhaps I should have created a separate account for that.) I never got round to using it but just initializing an AWS account seemed to be enough to set off their flags. :-/

How to help create segregation of men and women, thanks go to local councils and national government... 😬 I'm not in support of #segregation, what happened to #equality ???

FEMALE entrepreneurs are being offered free training and support to improve their digital skills

"The Department for Culture, Media and Sport/ BDUK have initiated the superfast broadband project nationwide and as part of the Demand Stimulation/Take Up work have subsequently gone on to develop  the Women and Broadband Challenge fund. This is a pilot scheme to see if this sort of targeting funding can make a difference to specific demographic groupings. This is a 6-month pilot and if successful then the hope is that further government funding will be released for other demographic groups and similar projects.

National research has shown that 50% less women than men are digitally confident and citing a fear of failure would stop them from starting a business.

By providing focussed funding the government hope that it will help equalise labour force participation and increase economic growth by 0.5% per year, with a potential gain of 10% of GDP by 2030. There could also be an extra one million female entrepreneurs if women started businesses at the same rate as men and in addition there are over 2.4 million women who are not in work but want to work, and over 1.3 million women who want to work more hours but cannot due to family commitments."

Women and Broadband Challenge fund supported by Central Bedfordshire, Bedford and Milton Keynes Councils, has been made available to help women start or grow their own business by improving their digital skills, getting them online and taking full advantage of all the opportunities Superfast Broadband can bring to their businesses.

I'd much prefer this funding going in to schools and IT projects like the #Kano project http://kano.me/
