today Bella said, "Poppy, I 'm not a grand baby." 😢
O.K. The official bio
stuff is farther below. I wanted to start with the important stuff first,
Here is my motto:
Anything is possible...if you believe
That sums up how I live. Outside the box. Why can something NOT be done? I find myself always asking that question. I'm not talking about legal things, or moral things, or ethical things. I'm talking about things that some people, and sometimes life, tell us can't be done.
Why can't you have a better, happy life?
Why can't you expect more?
Why can’t you be healthy?
Why can't you find someone to love?
Why can't you travel if you want to?
Why can't you have big dreams?
Why can’t you write a
better book? (or dozens of them)
Why can't you be nice AND successful in business? (Read "The Power of Nice" by Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval)
Why can't you make a better search engine?
Why can't technology create a Zero Emissions Automobile?
Why can't we go to another galaxy?
Why can't you compete with the "Giant" corporations?
Why can't we have new communications options?
Why can't you start that new business?
The list goes on and on...
I believe the main reason you can't is...
that's what you believe.
Countless inventions and technological advances proved wrong the notion that "something was impossible". Something is only impossible until we do it!
Here is what I am:
That sums up what I am. A faithful husband. A faithful Dad. A faithful Poppie. A faithful friend. A faithful brother. A faithful business associate. A faithful confidante. At least I always attempt to be. I’m not perfect. Some of those relationships I just mentioned would say I’m far from it. (Please don’t ask them!) But at least I’m striving to be faithful. Actually, that is what I am…striving to be faithful.
I think one of the main problems in the world today is a lack of faithfulness. In business. In families. In relationships. In Government. Faithfulness is a commodity seemingly in short supply. It’s also something appreciated and recognized when experienced. How many of us hate it when someone keeps their word? How refreshing would it be for a politician to keep their word? That would actually be amazing, but you get the idea.
Here is what I love:
That sums up what I love. Life. Everything about it man…I love it!
I love people. I love the wind. I love Mexican food. I love being on the ocean. I love the sky. I love the stars…in the sky. I love writing. I love spaghetti. I love fast cars. I love football. I love snow. I love the desert. I love mountains. I love the internet. I love technology…but not as much as you…you see. (For you Napoleon Dynamite fans) I love my wife. I love my family. I love my God. I love the rain. I love Cozumel. I love old movies. I love new movies. I love music. I love dancing. I love being with friends. I love exploring. I love running. I love ordering pizza. I love staying in hotels. I love to travel. I love staying up late at night. I love getting up early. I love sunrises. I love sunsets. I love babies. I love animals. I love the seasons. I love holidays. I love new things. I love flowers and trees. I love flying in a helicopter. I love riding motorcycles. I love walks in the woods. I love good food. I love great wine. I love helping people. I love life. I love mountain tops.
Someone asked me, “What about when you’re sick? Do you love life then?”
I said "It sure beats the alternative!"
I’m HAPPY! I live in Texas. I love to travel around the world. Everyone I meet becomes a character in one of my stories.
