I'm looking for some help from the Recruiting community here on G+. This June I'm doing a presentation for the upcoming Fordyce forum. Many recruiters have not yet realized the potential of Social Media. I'd like to help show them how good recruiters, like those here, are using social media in their business to not only find and recruit candidates but in building relationships and generating new business or clients.

I'd like to quote a few responses from this group and I will quote you along with your response to this question.

"How do you use Social Media in your recruiting practice to not only find candidates but to find new business?"

Along with quoting you I will follow up with a few recruiters to be interviewed and featured on my websites. Please either respond here, message me or email me at bill@billvick.com.

Thanks - Bill

Industry events like trade shows, conferences and conventions have always been excellent opportunities for networking and lead generation, but the rise of Twitter has given marketers the ability to reach and interact with countless attendees without mobilizing their entire staff. Live-tweeting an event isn't without its pitfalls, however, and should be approached with as much care and consideration as the design of your booth, apparel and giveaways.

Most of us recognize that all social networks are not equal. Each network has its own audience, and the content you share on one network may not be as relevant as it is on another. To get the most bang for your buck, you must share the right content on the right channel.

EML Wildfire study, says only 74% of the the UK Top 50 Technology companies assessed had social media links on their homepage – despite the fact that every company had at least one social networking site

LinkedIn has updated its user profiles. The new profile template is more visual and integrates elements similar to Facebook, Twitter and Google+. The overall look makes it an easier forum for users to display their information, be searched for connections and opportunities, and build relationships through improved ways to interact.

I'm trying to make a decision on  what Wordpress plugin to use for both video and audio podcasts. My eyes are crossed from looking at so many of them but I'm kind  of down to the wire on either Podpress or Burbrry. Any advice from anybody who delivering content on Wordpress and looking for more than just running Youtube's embed code? Thanks.

I actually use Blip.tv to syndicate my video podcast. If you go that route just make sure you take the Blip feed and run it through feedburner. Then submit the feedburner feed to iTunes, not the Blip feed. That way you get subscriber Analytics.

Actually, I was told to always run podcast feeds through feedburner. Sometimes there will be hiccups from the WP configurations that will mess the feed up. Going through feedburner helps prevent that so your service never get's disrupted on iTunes. Good luck!

Do you want to know where the jobs are going to be in 2013 and beyond? Change in the job market has accelerated dramatically in the last 10 years, and the 5-year plan is going the way of the dinosaurs. I believe the best way to anticipate where the jobs are going to be in the next few years is to think thematically first.

There are more ways to make money with your social media campaign every day…but there are also more ways to spend time and money.  Investing time in social media does not have to be a gamble.

Very slick. Build a workout online with a simple drag and drop interface. Could be a great tool for coaches and trainers or any noob but if you are into Paleo/Primal could be a good planning tool.

The French Fries like the ones you used to get a Macdonalds. Milk Shakes to die for and the Hamburgers are good - but those fries and shakes!!!

The service was obnoxious, bad and the owner tagged on an 18% tip as a 'surprise'. The food was mediocre at best.
