NASA Tells Us Not to Fear the Moon

Tonight's Full Moon will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than normal. This can have an influence on high tides, causing them to rise centimeters higher than they normally do.

They also tell us that the moon tends to look larger when it's visible on the horizon.

Seems like a good opportunity to try to take some moon shots with a camera.

Wonder if it will influence the whack-o-meter level?
I'm planning to head somewhere high so I can get some decent shots of the moonrise.
+Lyndon NA I'd like to think that if the moon has any influence over the way people behave on nights of full moons, it's because it's lighter outside and people can be a little more active out doors. But who knows?
+Sasch Mayer I've been thinking about what I'd like to try to take pictures of the moon appearing next to, like in the same shot with the clock tower of the local courthouse, or the water tower or some church spires.

It is tempting to run out to the Shenandoah National Park and take some pictures of the moon rising between the mountain peaks.
+Bill Slawski It's a fact that so many creatures + animals base their lifecycle on the moon, So I reckon the moon has a major influence on humans, How or what the influence is, I'm not sure of. :)
