I finally saw Looper, and while I actually enjoyed the acting and direction and drama, the time travel premise is about as well thought through as Back to the Future's.
There were definitely a lot problems with it. The time travel was paradoxical and illogical, and I thought the future self's "the past is fuzzy" explanation was a complete cop-out. And much of the writing was just... illogical. But I enjoyed it anyway, and I think it was a good movie to get more mainstream people who think they don't like scifi to open up to scifi... and hopefully delve deeper into the genre and find better stuff.
