FURNITURE TODAY ARTICLE - This is a must read if you are in the Home Furnishing category: SUPPLIER, RETAILER, AND/OR A DESIGNER.

VISUAL SEARCH OFFERS FASTER, EASIER WAY TO FIND PRODUCTS
http://www.furnituretoday.com/article/543157-visual-search-offers-faster-easier-way-find-products

Wayfair just announced with great fanfare they are “ALL IN” with AI visual search, as is Pinterest. Now, RETAILERS, BRANDS, AND DESIGNERS can use this awesome capability for your business, and if you read on their website, it works for furniture, rugs, accessories, and lighting.

http://www.thinkdeeply.com/home-furnishings.html

Think about this, they’ve figured out how to integrate this product into every item that a furniture store carries, and if you show everything you have “open to buy”, thousands of SKU’s, this is a true “Narrow Your Search” tool that uses VISUAL SEARCH to show you the options based on “THE LOOK”, not some old-fashioned element that defines so-called styles to define narrowing your search, which usually never works anyway … For designers, what an awesome way to show your client’s all the “VISUAL OPTIONS” you can find based on your client’s desired look. They’ll think you’re a genius finding all the cool stuff – quickly and efficiently!

Think about how you search for products …WITH YOUR EYES, first. You see it, you like it, you buy it. Isn’t it about time you adapt your personal visual instincts into your business. According to their website, the consultation is free, the demo is free, what do you have to lose…oh, I know …. more business!

AI is everywhere, you use it every minute of your life: Google, Apple, Amazon, everywhere. Why would you not try this? Please don’t subscribe to The Arrogance of Ignorance, especially because it’s very inexpensive and AI WORKS …. PERIOD!

I wanted to re-post this from my daughter, who's son, my Grandson, is going through very rough times. He's 4 months old and is awaiting a heart transplant at the Mayo Clinic. Take a minute to read through her heartwarming posts and when you think about all the crap in politics, social justice, and all these other distractions, this is what life is really about. Being healthy, happy and grateful no matter the circumstances.

Going forward, I will always support the Ronald McDonald house and I hope all that read this will too. Without their support, I can't imagine what my daughter and her family would be going through!

#RoanaldMcdonaldhouse THANK YOU!

THE MARKETING TO MILLENNIALS - THE MYTH DISSECTED

Daily I get some sort of propaganda Info-Graphic, How To, and more about how and why everyone should be marketing to Millennials, and I bet you do too.

When I get this sales and marketing propaganda, I must wonder if anyone has ever done his or her homework on the 77 Million strong demographics.

My answer is a resounding NO and it’s time marketers adjusted their thinking to a reality-based strategy, vs. the fictional stuff everyone wants you to think and believe. The old adage – “Strength in Numbers” does not apply to this generation …. yet.
