We see this with even micro businesses doing interesting things.

Millions of companies use Google, but what's really interesting is how they use Google. Today at #GartnerSYM , Carl Schachter talked about how businesses innovate and make better decisions using #GoogleApps. #GoogleAtGartner

There are hundreds of symbols available to help you add graphical elements like arrows, shapes, and non-Latin characters in Docs, Slides, and Drawings, but sometimes they’re not so easy to find.

That’s why there are now a couple of new ways to help you find just the right character or symbol to insert--you can now search by keyword, or even just draw what you’re looking for if you’re not sure what it’s called.

To add symbols and characters to your documents, presentations, and drawings, click the Insert menu and select Special characters. http://goo.gl/5yxQPq

Business is going well. The app is doing ok with a modest 15,000 users. It is due for an update. I noticed your Stack Exchange score the other day -- I love that site.

Are you doing much Apps Script?

I love seeing companies who have extreme focus when it comes to what they do. Zoom on and read the slogan.

As you suggested, used PDF option on printer and Envelope did print with "Proper Orientation" but showed "Horizontal" on Preview. HOWEVER, the return address was 1" down from the top edge of the Envelope, which is still not acceptable. I "adjusted" the top margin of the envelope on the PDF and it got worse.  All in all, having to do all of this to a simple envelope seems too much trouble. If there are major improvements to your templates, I'd be glad to give another hour to try it out.

We had a customer outside Kingston who was not paying their invoices -- endless excuses. We looked up collection services who were a member of the Kingston Chamber of Commerce and found Loyalist Collection Services. Loyalist was professional and efficient. They got our invoices paid. Thank you.

We needed to ship two fairly large products to the Yukon and decided to not do it ourselves. We elected to visit the UPS Store on Norwest Road because we had a good experience a number of years ago. As you would expect, the staff were polite and efficient. The price was higher than doing it yourself but they did a good job of packing our electronics -- so it seemed worthwhile. Two days after the package was supposed to be delivered by UPS, we learned the package had not arrived. We contacted UPS (courier not the store) and they told us that only the shipper could call: The UPS Store. This is when I became worried about the hassle that could now develop. I contacted the store and spoke with Martha. Over the next week, we learned that UPS (the courier) has lost the package which was extremely inconvenient for our customer. During this difficult period Martha of The UPS Store was in regular contact with us about the status and handled all the frustrating conversations with the courier. Martha was great. Even before the package did get delivered, she had prepared the claim to get our shipping fees back. The day after the package was delivered, Martha called to let us know the claim had been submitted and she would call us when the cheque arrived. We are greatly appreciative to Martha and The UPS Store for their diligence and professionalism. We will certainly use them again for our important shipments.

Whenever someone suggests a breakfast meeting, I always think of Windmills first. They do a great eggs southwestern -- think eggs Benedict with Jalapeno peppers.
