Hmmm, I have days where I totally believe this is true.

This is why you’re burning out: Science proves being on call is just as stressful as working

Physiology, psychology make it harder for you to unwind if there's even the possibility of your having to punch in

Very cool.

Latest News: Hubble’s new close-up look at the Veil Nebula reveals wisps of gas that are all that remain of what was once a star 20 times more massive than our Sun. The fast-moving blast wave from the ancient explosion is plowing into a wall of cool, denser interstellar gas, emitting light.

http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/2015/29

Learn more about the Veil Nebula in a discussion with Hubble Heritage Team scientists during the live Hubble Hangout at 3p.m. EDT on Thurs., Sept. 24 at http://hbbl.us/z7f .

They went away with the promo & marketing budget! Notice that radio stations do not market themselves any longer? The concept of invest in yourself flew out the window.

Whatever happened to radio bumper stickers?
Once a radio industry - and radio station fan - mainstay, it's hard for me to find a radio station bumper sticker on the road nowadays. "People won't put bum

This is the lightning map from this morning! We never see this and they say more is coming.

I had a near hit at a site with only a brief power drop. Phew.

It was the only site that worked on my Nexus 7. Google lightning maps did not work. These events are so rare for us I get a bit excited as it is so cool. Then, again, when I was in Phoenix, lightning created a 32 hour day for me.

They say we are on pace with 97-98 El Nino year and may surpass that.  As usual, too much, too fast.  We are so not built for 2" in an hour out here!  I suspect they are talking all Winter.  Last big one lasted through Feb.

Woot! We need this hete. Great news.

We’re exploring bringing Fiber to San Diego. This means working with city leaders to understand local requirements and challenges – from roads and infrastructure to permits and utility paths.

It will take time to make sure we can build this network. And we’d love to keep you updated on our progress. Check your address to be among the first to know when we have more to share: g.co/fiber/sandiego-ca

Stuff is moving quick. Love the rain. Drought killer? Not enough, but it sure will help.

More rain, lightning, and thunder. Wow. I have mud puddles where my lawn was. To early to get some grass seed and throw it out there?

Contacted Celestron a couple months ago regarding my tripod leg. Only used the telescope three times by then and the plastic clamp is cracked. I even sent a picture per their request. After a couple of email exchanges I heard nothing. I go online and find they closed the ticket. No notification, no resolve, no suggestions, and not even a we cannot do anything. I'm very disappointed.
This is the tripod that comes with the 5SE. I guess I'll use the old duct tape solution until I can figure out how to replace the part, or worst case replace the tripod.
Disappointed with Celestron. #celestron

+triccare triccare is it a myth that you can see the Great Wall from space, like the ISS? Linda is curious.

We've been taking our vehicles here for service for years. All service has been done well and on time. Mary Jackson is a great service adviser. She understands the need to have things done, and done right. Just purchased a new 2014 Mazda 6 i-Touring. We are loving it. Tyler was a great help in giving us the details and the answers to the questions we had. When it came done to features and price, Mazda won. We are happy.
