They're saying the rollout to PCs could take weeks. Linux users will get gdrive too...after all, google want to keep a documented record of everything THEY do as well.
I have to say, I can't understand why there's no #DriveForLinux ... Talk about not doing their homework :/
T&C for gdrive: "When you upload or otherwise submit content to our Services, you giveGoogle (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as thoseresulting from translations, adaptations or other changes we make sothat your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute suchcontent. The rights you grant in this license are for the limitedpurpose of operating, promoting, and improving our Services, and todevelop new ones. This license continues even if you stop using ourServices (for example, for a business listing you have added to GoogleMaps)." I'm sure that's not what they mean, but that's what they say.
yeah, I think it just covers them for minor errors...like all your info being published somewhere else by mistake
you want sopmething kept private, you don't put it in the cloud without encrypting it and swallowing the key
Prezactly, yeah. Same concept as your own drive, I'd say. Shit ain't private by default, ever.
ps...re our earlier convo...that aint happening after all; things have been put on hold after we said, no we can't send 200quid towards the cost of it.
Or it might have been the 'no drinking, no pool, you might have to give up smoking, sleep on the front room floor, and the dogs might not like you' which did it
right bugger off. I need to go to bed. Or whatever. I might even try sleeping for an hour or two. Catch ya later mate. HAve a good un
