We have moved! BikeSmith moved from 149 Smith Street to 123 Smith Street beginning January 2015.
BikeSmith's second location, opened in 2012, has become the go-to location for riders in Brooklyn's Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens neighborhoods. Located just blocks from Downtown Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge, our Smith Street store has a full array of bikes, clothing, accessories - and of course - some top notch mechanics. Whether it's a kid's bike, a new commuter bike, something for the woods or a top-of-the line road racing bike, we have a bike for everyone!

The guys working here are always nice, but I've taken my bike here twice and been disappointed both times. My tune up a while back resulted in no noticeable changes and then today I went in because I was having trouble with my back tire. They fixed it but as I was riding I noticed that my gears weren't holding. I was in Manhattan by this point so I stopped at a local shop and they said my cable needed to be changed. This was something I suggested to the guys at Bikesmith almost 6 months ago and they said it wasn't a problem. Then today they still didn't fix it. It's a $5 dollar part and a 10 minute fix! When I take my bike in to a specialist, I'm counting on them to find and fix what's wrong, and I'm willing to pay a fair price for it. This clearly isn't how this shop works, and I'd recommend anyone to take their bikes to one of the other shops in the neighborhood. I certainly will be from now on.

Very bad experience. Rude mechanic, almost had to ask him the favor to sell me a floor pump.

I purchased my bike here a year ago. They offered me a great price on a great bike, they provided a free tuneup in the first 90 days, and have been awesome. The staff is very friendly and capable.

The sign on the door since it's supposed to open at 10 AM today, but the gate is still down at 10:47.

Installed new drive-side crankarm bolt for a super reasonable price. This was done during a BUSY Saturday afternoon in as much time as it takes to say hello, roll it in, put the bike in the stand, and torque the thing in. Pure satisfaction. Thank you guys.

Nicest bike shop in S Brooklyn and amazing prices. I'm really picky about bike shops but i've been to bikesmith almost 10 times now and each time has been a good experience. So nice to have a non-rude non-overpriced bike shop- they seem to be rare these days.
