Pope Francis celebrated the Holy Thursday Mass of the Last Supper at a prison, where he washed the feet of 12 inmates, men and women, from Nigeria, Congo, Ecuador, Brazil, and Italy — as well as one toddler. http://www.cruxnow.com/church/2015/04/02/pope-francis-celebrates-holy-thursday-by-washing-prisoners-feet/
Patric, I speak the truth. You say to leave spiritual matters to God, but then God gave us His Word written so that we might learn. Why are we to know the truth if we are not to exercise it? You are like a blind man admonishing a man with sight for having vision. If you cannot judge what is front of your face, how will you possibly discern those things were are indeed invisible? Jesus referred to the Pharisees as hypocrites because they could predict the weather, but they weren't able to discern the times. How much more is one a hypocrite if they claim to know the times, but they cannot predict the weather? You refuse to acknowledge to acknowledge the truth. You should read the Bible. God never says to leave spiritual matters to Him. He in fact equips His children for the express purpose of handling spiritual matters. Further, your statement is proof that you consider the Pope to be God. If that weren't so, then according to your advice, the Pope should be a hypocrite because he is taking on spiritual matters instead of leaving them to God. And who anointed the Pope besides men? For Popes are elected by men in cloth; not by angels. But to the glory of God that all things may come to pass so that His true glory may be revealed and the world will see the error of its way. Remember, the delusion of the anti-christ is so strong that if it were possible, even the very elect, if God allowed it, could be deceived. Therefore that means the anti-christ spirit attempts to mimic Christ to the degree that people will think it is true. And yet, even here, the Pope doesn't even come close to doing a good job mimicing Christ... and yet, that was his intent. When Christian brothers and sisters wash each other's feet, that means that we forgive each other's steps - just like baptism is a metaphor for the washing away of sins. It is not a ritual, it is not for boasting - what the man in that cloth has done there is commit the blasphemy of claiming to be in the place of Christ. If he would be glorified, he would eradicate his office. But we know that they will convince themselves that they perform too much good to be willing to dissolve. There are God's children within the ranks of the Vatican, but they don't know it yet, and they won't until their day. But the one who sits on that seat is an idol. And the idol walks about and speaks. This is what was meant when God said that the antichrist will make an image of himself and he will cause that image to speak and the image will speak great blasphemies against the Lord. Do you not see it? Those who come out of Catholic school become atheists and spiritualists always because of the hypocrisy they witness and experience. Christ is not revealed there. Christ is hardly revealed in Protestant churches anymore. Rituals, and prayers, and flags, and repetitions, and hate speech, and politics, and wars, and greed -- it looks like a lamb, but speaks with the voice of a dragon. And the denominations all accuse each other of being that thing claiming that they themselves are not. But that is Satan's kingdom: A kingdom divided against itself. And so see how the body of Satan consists of the modern Universal and Protestant churches; then Catholics vs. Orthodox and Sunday vs. Saturday Protestants; then each separation of Catholics versus eachother, and the same with the Orthodox. And each of the Sunday churches and cults against each other, and now also Saturday churches that are against each other. THAT IS NOT THE BODY OF CHRIST. Christ is whole. Satan is divided. We are failures because we tolerated all that is wrong; and yet also because we argued about all of the wrong things. We argue about sabbath days, but we were instructed by Paul TO EACH MAN HIS OWN DAY AND LET HIM BE CONVINCED. We argue about holidays, but we were instruct by Paul to EAT WHAT IS PUT IN FRONT OF YOU LEST YOU SHOULD OFFEND ASKING NO QUESTIONS - BUT IF IT HAPPENS TO BE THAT YOU LEARN IT WAS SACRIFICED, DENY SO THAT THEY CAN SEE THE LORD. We argue about politics, and yet we were instructed to admit that WE ARE FOREIGNERS IN A STRANGE LAND. We argue about speaking in tongues, and yet we were instructed that THOUGH WE SPEAK IN TONGUES, IF THERE IS NO INTERPRETER, WE ARE AS SOUNDING BRASS; AND THOUGH WE SPEAK IN TONGUES, IF WE HAVE NOT CHARITY, THEN IT IS USELESS. We argue about whether when we partake of the Last Supper if Christ's flesh and blood is truly the bread and the wine (or grapejuice) - and yet does it matter? THE LESSON IS SPIRITUAL ANYWAY THAT WE CANNOT LIVE UNLESS CHRIST DIED AND WE CANNOT DRINK UNLESS CHRIST LIVES. So, if we are to leave spiritual matters up to God alone, then why has He instructed us IN THE SPIRIT?
