“Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. - Jeremiah 1:6-7 (NIV) http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremiah+1%3A6-7&version=NIV

Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?
who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
He that walketh uprightly,
and worketh righteousness,
and speaketh the truth in his heart. - Psalm 15:1-2 (AKJV) http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+15%3A1-2&version=AKJV

Our final Lent email devotional begins this Sunday! "Knowing Him" is written by Mel Lawrenz of The Brook Network. It walks through the final week leading up to Easter Sunday--Jesus' trial, crucifixion, and resurrection--and explores the meaning of what Jesus did for us. sadly, many crucify Jesus afresh while treading on his blood, forsaking their own mercies.

If you are observing Lent in some way--how's your Lent commitment going so far? How has it affected your experience of the Easter season?

My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
listening closely to wisdom
and directing your heart to understanding;
furthermore, if you call out to insight
and lift your voice to understanding,
if you seek it like silver
and search for it like hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and discover the knowledge of God. - Proverbs 2:1-5 (HCSB) http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs+2%3A1-5&version=HCSB

A Relationship....its your heart the matters most...where He is or must be...to guide us and makes things right. Truths come to light while gaining understanding in His word and will for our lives. Each walk is on His time and purposeful which no other sinner is able to judge. Only one who is worthy as Saviour and He Has Risen! Even the hairs on your head have been numbered for He so Loves US All!

"...if Christ is the Alpha and Omega of all our actions, then our lowliest actions are acceptable sacrifices; but if this principle is lacking in our lives, our most pompous services avail nothing: we are nothing but a spiritual idolater; we sacrifice to our own gain and make an idol of ourselves. We make ourselves, and not Christ, the end of our actions." - George Whitefield http://www.biblegateway.com/devotionals/bible-gateway-lent-devotional/2014/03/31

What’s the hardest act of forgiveness you’ve ever done? Here are some thoughts on forgiving the unforgivable, inspired by a story in Desmond Tutu's latest book. http://www.biblegateway.com/blog/2014/03/forgive-as-the-lord-forgave-you-desmond-tutu-and-impossible-forgiveness/

Such a shame god doesn't exist, whatever happens in the natural we're told a little man jumps out in front of you to take all the credit and say's, " Hi it's me again and yes I'm the reason that all this happened, you will believe me". No sorry that doesn't cut it for me.

Did the early church invent Jesus' divinity after the fact? On our blog, theology professor Michael Bird discusses Bart Ehrman's newest book--and an interesting rebuttal that's being published alongside it: http://www.biblegateway.com/blog/2014/03/did-the-early-church-invent-jesus-divinity-after-the-fact-michael-bird-discusses-bart-ehrmans-new-book-and-an-unusual-rebuttal/

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. - 1 Peter 2:2-3 (NIV) http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?version=NIV&search=1%20Peter%202:2-3
