Several years ago, scholarly debate erupted over the authenticity of a purportedly ancient manuscript fragment that mentioned Jesus' wife. That fragment is again in the news after a remarkable article in The Atlantic which recounts a journalist's efforts to investigate the fragment's history. Read more about it here: http://fal.cn/2RMI

Around the world, millions of Muslims are midway through the Ramadan period of prayer and fasting. It's a good opportunity for Christians to share the love of Jesus Christ with our Muslims neighbors, and to learn more about what they believe. Here are some places to start: http://fal.cn/2vQd

Reading the Bible could be compared to traveling in a foreign country: having a faithful guide who reveals the surrounding culture offers a more complete understanding. We interviewed John Walton and Craig Keener, editors of the new "NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible," to find out what their book can bring to your Bible reading experience. How can the Bible be a bestselling book year after year, and yet so many of us don't actually read it? We talked to Glenn R. Paauw about his new book "Saving the Bible From Ourselves," in which he explores the ways that we unintentionally make the Bible harder to read. Read the interview here: http://fal.cn/2RFj

"The goal of spiritual growth is not perfection but maturity. Our growth in Jesus will bear fruit in a transformed life and character (see Galatians 5:22 – 23). But we will still have issues and struggles. The Apostle Paul also said, 'Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me' (see Philippians 3:12). We must press on and not let our imperfections get us down." - from the "Boundaries" devotional. Read or subscribe here: http://fal.cn/2ONP

I agree I needed this too. It's amazing that God knows what we need and when we need it - he is always right on time, in our most time of need for him. Thank you Lord, I thank you Lord

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: but I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca [fool], shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. - Matthew 5:21-22 (AKJV) http://fal.cn/2vrG

"It is therefore astonishing how little effort is put into knowing God. It’s as though the President of the United States came to live with you for a month, and you only said hello in passing every day or so. Or as if you were flown at the speed of light for a couple of hours around the sun and the solar system, and instead of looking out the window, you played a computer game. Let us pray that our infinitely great God would open our eyes and hearts to see him and seek to know him more." - John Piper, "How Well Do You Know God?" Little testimony

I'm a disciple of Christ now for a couple of years. You may have known the up and down of disciples, so no need to name them here...

But a couple of months ago, I fail & my mum in the Lord had told me When you fail with God, you'll need to start it all again so I considered myself a new convert and began everything anew, I prayed the new convert prayer and restarted everything (or almost).

For a couple of weeks now, I'm learning to consecrate myself to God, but Him alone... I can already testify that it is as if I have never knew God. In fact, as I am pressing toward Him, truly is He fighting and working out for me. He is bringing in outstanding results, answering my prayers with more than HD details.

I pray that this time, no wickedness nor rebellion will succeed in deceiving me from follow His pattern.

Praise His Holy Name.
