This homemade taco sauce continues to be a favorite of my readers.  It's such an easy and tasty alternative to the store bought version.  I made another batch this week too - Yum!

I've been enjoying this easy homemade microwave applesauce as a bedtime snack for the last couple of days - it's a little bit healthier than a bedtime bowl of ice cream!

Yarn dyed with mushrooms- how beautiful!

This is the dyeing results from the mushrooms picked in my lawn last week.  The color is rich and gorgeous and even better in real life that the photo. I can't wait for more of those to grow so I can harvest them again.

Maybe some of you already knew how to do this on PicMonkey, but it was new to me and has helped me so much in choosing colors for my texts and overlays that coordinate perfectly on my blog photos.

Make your own onion rings with this tasty recipe from +Tracy Wood I love that these can be made in the oven.

Oven-Baked Onion Rings (from "Appetite for Reduction")
“Give even an onion graciously.” Afghan proverb I hope you are not overlooking the humble onion in your
weekly menus. I consider it one of the best vegetables on the planet. These
baked onion rings are perfection! Serve with the classic burger, but also
con...
Make the rings: use one hand to dip a single onion ring into the milk mixture and get it completely covered. Use the same hand to move the ring to the breading. Use the other hand to cover the ring with as many crumbs as you can. Carefully place on the prepared baking sheet.

Enjoy summertime while sipping this mix-it-yourself sangria.  I love this recipe as an easy alternative to just a plain old bottle of wine.

How to make a Pinterest board  - of your favorite Pinterest boards!  Excellent idea for being able to quickly jump to a favorite board you follow to see what's new, and to help others find those boards too.

Pinterest Bookmarking Tip
I learned this through +Peg Fitzpatrick 's seriously Pinterest board, and she got it from +Amy Locurto who wrote a great post about how to bookmark your favorite Pinterest boards. #mindblown

So here's the post > http://ow.ly/uPr6L
Here's Peg's Pinterest board > http://ow.ly/uPrgy

And here's how you do it:
1. Create a board called "Pinterest Boards I Stalk"
2. Go to a board you love and pin the most compelling photo you see (and one that represents the board well). Pin it to your newly created board.
3. Then grab the URL of the board (it'll be something like http://pinterest.com/username/boardname) and copy it.
4. Go to that pin you just pinned, and click on the little pencil tool to edit the pin. Paste the URL into the source. And VOILA!

Now you have your favorite boards bookmarked.
