This is a very provocative guest post from TCGGroup discussing an evaluation of nonprofit capacity building programs and how effective they are. He asks whether fundraising consulting versus leadership development or organizational capacity building will likely result in more transformational outcomes. I am posting this here to test whether or not nonprofit/philanthropy content can engage here versus elsewhere. +Lucy Bernholz +Sean Stannard-Stockton +Stephanie McAuliffe +Peter Panepento

This is a great post. And although provocative, this gets a 1+. Far too often nonprofit's fail at leadership development and organizational capacity building. There is another blog post about the mix of formality a board brings and the informality of front line nonprofit.

"I’ve also begun to realize that my reticence to spend much time using other social media, and even to reply regularly to comments on my blog posts, comes down, I think, to the fact that I’m tired of talking. I’m conversed out. I’m open to new, actionable information, and to novel, credible, well-thought-out ideas on what we might do to make the world a better place, but that’s about all the bandwidth I have these days for conversation."

+Beth Kanter I agree with you, Beth! I think that's the next evolution of social networking: action. Like Elvis sang: "A little less talk and a lot more action..."
