'The lure of the distant and the difficult is deceptive. The great opportunity is where you are. Do not despise your own place and hour. Every place is under the stars, every place is the center of the world.'
--John Burroughs

We love YOU Beth, and that's what counts.

Also, "No matter where you go, there you are." -- Buckaroo Banzai. Also, "Its a TRAP!" -- Admiral Akbar.

My life philosophy is all built on television and movies I've watched all my life.

'Without accepting the fact that everything changes, we cannot find perfect composure. But unfortunately, although it is true, it is difficult for us to accept it. Because we cannot accept the truth of transience, we suffer.'

This concept forms the spine of my laid-back nature. I am certainly not at peace with the world, but the certain knowledge that 'this too will pass' kind of helps to make practically anything bearable, only sad that it also applies to relationships and time spent with those we love.

I forgot to flip my quote a day calendar for a few days... here are the highlights:

'But do not ask me where I am going,
As I travel in this limitless world,
Where every step I take is my home.'
--Dogen

'The essence of man is not what he is, but in what he is able to be.'
--Abraham Joshua Heschel

'Life is like music for its own sake. We are living in an eternal now, and when we listen to music we are not listening to the past, we are not listening to the future, we are listening to an expended present.'
--Alan Watts

'To be great, be whole; exclude
Nothing, exaggerate nothing that is you.
Be whole in everything. Put all you are
Into the smallest thing you do.
The whole moon gleams in every pool,
It rides so high.'

Dr. Scott Fournier remains one of the most effective practitioners I've worked with. He listens thoroughly and compassionately to patients' medical complaints, and works hard to resolve them. He and his office staff promote a lifestyle conscious, preventative approach to medicine, and their care is especially helpful for athletic individuals. I recommend his services to anyone seeking a chiropractor, and would suggest considering use of them to someone who isn't - he can help with a variety of issues that traditional medicine can't address without the use of pills and other more invasive treatments.
