Cats can't tell us when something's wrong, so we need to learn the warning signs.

A shout-out to my roots! People dismiss restaurant work as "not really a job" but it actually teaches you some pretty priceless lessons.

We recently visited this store to get my partner a pair of boots for work. It was a Sunday, early afternoon, and the only associate in the store, Thomas, was completely swamped. However, he didn't get flustered once. He greeted us immediately upon entering and listened to what we were looking for. He explained briefly who was ahead of us to receive his attention. He handled the entire situation with grace and professionalism, so no one got antsy! When it was our turn, he helped us make the best decision possible, and my partner loves his new boots! Great example of a local business delivering a high quality experience. Not to mention the boots are well-crafted and come with a lifetime warranty. Give Thomas a promotion!

UPDATE 2/19/13: I was happy to write a glowing review for this office after my initial experience, but since then, I have been disappointed multiple times. First, there was no follow up after my oral surgery to check on how I was healing or to let me know the timeline for next steps. They told me it would be 4-6 months until I could have the site opened up and start the abutment and crown. I heard nothing about it until 6 months later when I came in for a routine cleaning in November. (Side note, when I showed up for that November appt, I waited for over an hour and finally had to leave and reschedule because they were so behind.) At that time, they said it looked fine and it could be uncovered at any time. I was excited. They said they would call to set up the appt. 2 months passed with no contact. In January 2013, I called the office to find out what the heck was happening. They said "oh we're ordering the parts we need, we'll call you when they come in." Another month passed with no word. Finally, in mid-Feb, I called again. Oh, they said, sure let's schedule you an appointment to have it uncovered. Basically, if I hadn't called, who knows how much longer I would have waited with a big hole in my mouth. The second disappointment came today, my scheduled appt to have the implant uncovered. I sat in the chair for 2+ hours while they ratcheted away at my mouth---first trying to get a part out, and then trying to get the new part in. They seemed very unprepared and perhaps unfamiliar with the procedure. It was very uncomfortable and frustrating for me, as both the dentist and hygienist hardly communicated to me what was going on, and kept leaving the room to see other patients. Ultimately, they failed and I had to schedule another appointment to go through the same thing again. The best thing about this office is the receptionist, Elizabeth. She is always kind and apologetic when they F things up. Original review: Rating Excellent Visited this office for the first time summer of 2012 after suffering a badly broken tooth. They were very understanding about my trepidation (had not been to a dentist in 10+ years) and were not judgmental at all. A plan for extracting and replacing my tooth was formulated. The oral surgery went off without a hitch and now I'm just awaiting the implant placement. I recently went in for a full exam and cleaning, and was very pleased. Both dentist and hygienist were friendly and efficient, very concerned with my comfort throughout the visit. I have to disagree with some of the other reviewers, as FC dental group has always been completely upfront with me about charges and never tried to upsell me on anything. Although the exam located two small cavities, the dentist offered to fill them right then and there! No extra appointment, which was very convenient. For what it's worth, I don't think the Dr. Jamison other reviewers complained about is still with the clinic.

The sunroof on my Audi got jammed while open and I couldn't get it to close. I took it to FC Foreign Car on a day when their phones and internet were down, but they still managed to take a look at it while I waited. Although the problem was confusing, they stuck with it, and managed to close the roof manually. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and I'll definitely be bringing the car there again.

Don't be scared by the fact that this is a teaching salon. All of the stylists have already come through the Aveda program, and seem to be quite accomplished. Both myself and my boyfriend get our hair cut here. We've used two different stylists and both were great. The stylists are efficient, confident, and in my case, provided great tips on how to recreate the style at home. We will definitely be back!

We were excited to find the website for this place because it seem like great prices for all the amenities offered. We were arriving after Labor Day, and new it would probably be pretty empty, but the website stated the park was open until Oct. 15. Upon arrival at around 2:30 in the afternoon, we found the office deserted (even though the open sign was still blinking). We proceeded to our site anyway, thanks to a note taped to the door. The website brags about "hot showers" and "modern bathrooms" but these must only be available during the summer because the showers were ice cold and the bathrooms very dirty. Don't trust the prices listed on the website either. We got a discount because we were Passport America members, but I'm pretty sure we only got a discount off the regular season price, not the off season price. Disappointing.
