My friends, where do I begin?
Reading is a joy, a pleasure, and there are so many books to read you will not live long enough to read them all. I know I won't. None of us will.
My personal view on the subject is, see, I'm a snarky old bitty. I do not like to be told what to do, where to go, what movies to see, or what to believe. And I REALLY don't like being told what I can and cannot read.
If you feel certain books should not be read, don't buy them. Don't borrow them from the library. If you have children, it is your business to keep books away from them that you do not approve of. That's your business (but don't be surprised if they read them behind your back, you know kids!).
So yeah, celebrate Banned Books Week, so read a book that someone tells you not to read. I'm going to read some Harry Potter this week (it's my favorite go to book during Banned Books Week).
You are going to miss so many wonderful stories if you don't read a Banned Book. Fiction, nonfiction, whatever. You are reading someone's words, their crafted tales that you may love or hate (or think are pure trash).
But make up your own mind, okay?
Don't let anyone else tell you what you can and cannot read.
Based on past experiences, I am not interested in a relationship, chatting, being friends, or anything else you have in mind. And as a retired social worker, I have NO money, so asking me to fund your oversees job vaccinating sick chickens (yes, someone tried that scam on me) is a waste of your time.
Another guy is from Italy!
Move on, boyo's!
You are wasting your time!
It was a beautiful night, cold but clear skies. We watched the moon as a family, marveling at the huge bright moon!
